This might be a long standing bug as I have noticed it for a while. When chain firing PPCs, the 2nd or 3rd shot does not cause the cross hair to flash red. In my scenario it was an ER PPC into a 2nd and 3rd regular PPC roughly spaced out about half a second apart. This seems to only happen when using PPCs together.

I've noticed this against targets standing still so I'm assuming its not server registration.

Anyone else notice this?

Sounds like good old HSR problems.
Sometimes shots do no damage. It's most noticable in single-projectile weapons like ACs and PPCs but SRMs also suffer greatly from it.
If your or your target's ping is rather high the problem gets worse.

The fact that the target was standing still (while you would expect that it wouldn't) doesn't mean it wasn't just poor server-side hit detection. I'd wager that's what you're seeing, actually.

Well, I do agree with the posts here but I'm referring to situations with things like Atlases standing still or walking at me. Thanks for the replies. I'll see if I can duplicate this in the testing grounds.

HSR adjustments are coming... see March Technical Update... I've had wonky results with weapons being chain-fired... or grouped but I believe that might be a combination of convergence and hit detection on the server end.... but this was mainly against higher ping players vs. my avg. 76 ping.
