Hello,

Sometimes when fighting, I need to share information with team mates. But if you type too fast, weird things will happen. For example, being attacked from behind; "turn around, help" could save your life. But if you type it fast, which is needed in that situation, the chat (sometimes) goes out allright. But also, since the last letter being typed is "p", the mech powers down. This is quite annoying. And I am positive I am not making the mistake since it does not say "hel", and I know Im not hitting "p" after I hit enter.

In addition, some times the chat does not show what you wrote at all. Its like I never typed at all, nothing shows up. This is random and I have not seen a pattern in it.

I often notice type-chat "r" passing through to the mech controls, which I mapped to override shutdown.

There's also the problem that typing in chat sometimes sets mech speed to 0, but sometimes it doesn't. I'm not sure of the when & how of that.

Mostly, this is telling me that I type too much and should practice playing pug rambo-style.

Yeah, I forgot about the bug that sets mech speed to zero. It happens when typing, when checking the battle map, and when TABing for the score. Very inconvenient.

Are you sure you don't have Throttle Lock on? Or off? It's that setting that always returns you to 0 throttle when you're not pressing forward.

I bound my shutdown/startup command to one of the F keys. That way I avoid this bug altogether.

Disabling Throttle Decay in your game settings will prevent you from stopping movement while typing in-game. Otherwise, as DeskDroid stated, you must keep your throttle engaged to continue moving... haven't had an issue while typing and it triggering a key-binding while in the in-match chat function. Best bet to help the Devs fix this problem would be to get a recording of your gameplay, upload to youtube or something, file a support ticket and include the video in the email to the Devs, or a link to show visual proof of the bug.
