Except she needs to check her facts before reporting them.....In her report she states that Marik asked for the 3 day cease fire over the holiday when in actuality Davion suggested it and then followed through with it even tho they didn't get much support for the idea except for the limited support House Marik showed which may have been where her confusion came from...For the doubters here is the thread..>> http://mwomercs.com/...day-truce-2014/

I will point out that although there wasn't much vocal support for the 3 day cease fire on the thread no planets have changed hands over the time so far. Other than some sporadic fighting here and there on the Kurita border, theKurita and Marik borders have been quiet...Is house Marik ready to possibly extend the cease fire with Davion and look for a more permanent solution?
The same cannot be said for House Liao where House Davion has had to concentrate our Forces to keep from losing planets as the Liao faction proves yet again that they do not want peace under any circumstances. Is it any wonder some of the more aggressive merc units are looking to join forces with the House Liao Leadership?

There is no ceasefire...there is however maaaany less pilots on involved in CW by my count over the last two days. More of a coincidence than accord between all parties.

Truth, this was not a House Marik operation.
The whole report smacked of Clan propaganda.

While you are correct that there are many less players on...you are incorrect in your assertion that there is no cease fire...one was offered and except for a few miscellaneous groups and of course House Liao it has been observed. Most of the excess forces have been diverted to Steiner space to help our Steiner Brethren.

You almost said it right....There are no pacts between Liao's and Men.. the distinction is slight but extremely important...Yes you will see us on the field Vas...It fills my heart with sorrow to see such an honorable unit as the Apocalypse Lancers consorting with the likes of the current House Liao leadership.

I agree we may need to check into her affiliations...Food for thought..
But one good thing came from the report...A chance to point out that House Marik and House Davion can reach an agreement and follow through with it..however tenuous it may have been. And the question remains...is House Marik ready to reach out for a possible extended cease fire with House Davion?

If we do that where are we supposed to get a good fight then? I'm just kidding. I need to try fighting on the clan border some more since I have only had one game. Although we always get good fights when we go up against the davions... Either way whatever the higher UPS agree to I will abide by. Unless that decision is to do absolutely nothing because that is really boring.

Then explain why Steiner was trying so hard to take the FRR world of orestes the last few days? Why so many steiner attacks launched against the marik world by steiner, or the kurtian world?

I know that Davion goes to defend the one Steiner planet under assault by clan jade falcon, which frees up the steiner tagged pilots to ATTACK IS held worlds. Please stop with your sanctimonious hypocrisy about how Davion does so much to defend the IS from the Clans.

Davion has gobbled up every IS Planet that was available for them to attack EXCEPT for Steiner, since day one and was going strong right though xmas and on to this very moment I am posting.

Nope..Davion hasn't taken a planet since the 23rd...Neither yesterday nor today while the cease fire has beenm in effect...not sure how you equate what happened on your border with what happens with Davion.....you probably shouldn't hit the Hot toddy's quite so hard before you post...

There is no universal, agreed upon ceasefire. If a handful of groups choose to observe one, that's fine, but it's in no way a general ceasefire across all factions and units...not even the majority.

You imply the ceasefire, meager as it is, is somehow responsible for the lack of planets being taken. My view is that is the large lack of players during this timeframe.

There are plenty of players and units trying to take planets and the ones observing the ceasefire are very easily in the minority, as the forums also attest.

First you need to understand that i was in no way including any of the freaking clans...or any of the factions that border the clans...I was speaking about Davion Space and Davion Border Factions. Apparently you have such illusions of grandeur that you think that if a post is made it must involve you. If you actually read and understood what was being said and had gone back to read the previous posts that give context to the post you are referencing you would understand that I was speaking to the Factions we deal with not the Clans.
We fully expected the clans to push an offensive during the Christmas holiday, especially Christmas day, as part of the basis for our cease fire was based on having plenty of opportunity to fight by defending against the clans as we knew there would be absolutely no chance of the Clans observing anything like the agreement we came too but you wouldn't know that because you weren't involved/included...

Quite a cool news story, even if the info is a little inaccurate.

I haven't seen much in the way or attacks from anyone except clan units so it looks like the ceasefire has largely held. What little time I have had has been spent successfully defending the clan border.

Totally clan propaganda. It's pretty cool, though.

Like the idea, applaud it entirely. Very similar to the written posts I make for the BSI.

BUT...

Half the info was wrong and some of it smacked of outright propaganda, which is not something I applaud.

A fun listen, but definitely not as good as the previous merc news due to inaccuracies galore. Maybe the writer should have their report verified and vetted by faction leaderships before going to air.
The theming of these audio clips is awesome, and I'd like to see them become the primary piece of weekly update media, they just need to present accurate details.
