The actual patch notes quoted originally were from the initial release of the Cadet bonus. Those of us who started playing before the Cadet bonus was introduced just got the lump sum pay out. Ordellus, having started playing November 2012, would have received this bonus when that patch was released.

I sort of thought it had something mathematical to do with 1337 (which I know is leet) or something to do with programming, like the limit of some type of variable or memory address or something.
