Calling it a night on account of 10+ minutes between games

honestly if you read "reviews" from online gaming magazines etc they are beating the crap out of MWO.
maybe its run its course. hope not, got some money tied up in it, but so be it

And probably a few more after that as new shinies will have been released. Like the Flea.).
But regardless of how much money we've put in, I'm sure we want it to stick around so we can get our monies worth out of it.
But then, I'm not seeing the problem with LRMs tbh.
I've ran an LRM boat (Catapults) since I started (As well as Locusts and Centurions now), and it's marginally easier to hit with LRMs now yes.
But in the 21 matches I've had chance to play, I've not died once to LRMs.
Ballistics / Lasers / SRMs once, but not LRMs.
I guess what I'm trying to say is.... ******* be crazy.

Now, I'm playing with a 2-year old $500 laptop, it's not so much out-dated but it's just not strong enough to handle this game. And I want to buy a new gaming PC but I don't have a job and PC parts get out-dated monthly.
Nextly, this company hasn't done a THING to promote. I mean seriously, how do you expect to get gamers, if you SECRETLY make this game???

As a general rule, 4-6GB+ of RAM, a 3-5 core 64bit processer of 2.4GHZ+, and a 512mb+ graphics card is enough.
My machine is 8gb of ram, a 2.5GHz Quad Core, 1GB of graphics memory and is 6 years old now.
Haven't found a game I can't run yet, though I'm considering a better graphics card. Nothing too fancy, just something with 1-2GB and DXlatest.
MWO runs comfortably on Medium.
I can build a solid gaming rig for £300-400 these days (and am about to for my fiancee) that'll hold up and be fine for years.
ALSO - XLs CAN make you more vulnerable, but they're significantly lighter, and for certain mechs, well worth it.
Brawlers, maybe not.
Lights / Support mechs? Very yes.
(Which reminds me... I need to start grinding for an XL175 or 190 to go in my Locust... there's a fun one - Engine worth twice as much as the mech.)

Never buy a laptop for gaming. You can get twice the machine for half the money.
The above post is right though, in the last 3 years I've been running the same rig, other than a $250 video card I bought this year. It's not like it was 10 years ago.

IMO, I just really do not understand why they lumped in the speed increase with the narc stuff. Seems like narc should have easily been enough to give LRM a buff, what with 30 seconds of counter ECM and no tag laser to point out exactly where the spotter is. Oh well, I guess some players liked the hide behind rocks for 10 minutes match play of last summer. At least poptart spam most maps offered plenty of cover from.

I don't know about you. But, I've been here long enough to notice that almost anything seems to polarize the player base.

Because it was probably needed?
Here's another reason: a large number of gamers, online or otherwise, have a tendency to whine about anything and everything.
