I decided to take another break from MWO till the LRM insanity is over. Gonna login for a few games to get my event reward but that will be about it. That LRM spam gameplay at the moment is no fun to me. I'd love to flank / brawl but with 11 teammates camping in cover spamming thousands of LRMs and the other team doing the same that's not working anymore.

Same here after the tourny is over... if i want insanity.. I go play TitanFall

Saturday night at 2230 Central time, it took 3 attempts on "Any" to get a 12 man linkup.

Isn't that kinda freaky dead for a Saturday?

I keep hearing about how OP the LRMs are, but I have yet to be significantly damaged by them. As long as I don't stand out in the open for several minutes, I live through quite a few matches. Usually everything but LRMs kill me. If anything, LRMs are closer to what they should be.
I have had LRMs in my Stalker for quite a while, but I actually made use of them this time. Before this patch I couldn't hold a lock long enough to make the launchers worth while. I am also happy that the devs made the Nark pods useful, they were virtually useless until now.
If you charge out in the open, I can promise you that LRMs are the least of your worries. Basically, I see many of our problems being a lack of teamwork. Or I should say, a lack of functions that support teamwork.

I don't know about you. But, I've been here long enough to notice that almost anything seems to polarize the player base.

There's something brown on your nose, and it stinks. I can't quite tell what it is...

So you're basically saying you're in low Elo, and on top of it, you can't even play good with those freakishly overpowered Lurms.
I took a Champion Stalker out for a stroll, just for two games. I wrecked face.

You can check my post about collision issues. This is making the game unbearable. If many others are having these issues it may be another reason for the decline in players.

I quit playing several months ago during the "launch." There are too many other finished games out there for me to keep tinkering around with their beta.

These days I just drop by to see what has changed, and it seems like they're still fiddle farting with basic elements of gameplay balance. Apparently LRMs are the flavor of the month.

im about bored of playing nothing but ecm mechs myself seeing as how if you dont have an ecm or ecm coverage you get insta melted by LRM's. so here is one less active player to add to the mounting exodus.

will check next patch notes to see if there is any progress.... lol?

Yeah, I took my DDC, loaded it up with 3x LRM10s, a TAG and a single ERLL and easily got 600 dmg matches by repeated clicking the "fire" button. At one point someone finally killed me and I thanked him for putting me out of my misery.

That was on the second day this patch came out. Haven't touched MWO since.

Tried to sit down after a long day at work last night and play MWO to unwind.... couldn't get my self to actually click the "Play" button, dug up my old copy of Total Annihilation and played a game of that instead.

I've never had to wait for more than 30 seconds for a game but this weekend it has started taking from 1-4 minutes to drop as a pug for me.

I love how people try to discount the opinion of other gamers by saying "a large number of gamers...have a tendency to whine about anything and everything..."

If complaining about this patch makes me a "whiner", then it is a badge I'll proudly wear.

Truth of the matter is, a LARGE number of players don't like the patch and believe that weapon tweaks should be handled incrementally with sensitivity to the community.

I've also taken a break from the game until patch problems are corrected.

Why I leave and come back...because I hate having to deal with Jagers and phracts in every ******* game. Along with 5 more heavies or assualts. Atleast I can use sSRMs to dael with lights but that doesnt fix lag or hit detection..

The game is ******

Try a 15/10/5 loadout next time. One ton less one heat less for the same tubes. :)

I don't think it was my missile loadout that made me want to get shot. It was the gameplay. :)

here is another one of these guys that doesnt get it that this game is snowballing down hill at a rapid pace. even if a fraction of these guys quit that say they are quitting it is a huge hit to this miniscule community. seriously day in and day out same playerrs over and over. reminds me of the end days of mw4 :'(

I haven't been having any problems... still dropping into matches fine here. I also have not been seeing what all this hyperventilating is about from the forums. LRMs are running fine. I'm having no problems using and dodging them. (Personally that is. My results may very from other's results.)

Well I cant speak for all the players, nor actually know the numbers of active members....

Speaking for myself, my biggest frustration is the current UI. The missles dont bother me as much as that.

I'll have to look around for tips using UI 2.0. Hate configuring loadouts/viewing general loadout and hardpoint information on owned and purchasable mechs. I just find it all confusing. Hate the equipment list (thumbnails, and the space this list actually takes up) Don't like not having clickable area on mechs to see equipped items, hate the fact that the parts(Left arm, right arm, etc) selection is on the complete oppisite side of the mech 3d model. I'm sure I could nick pick it all day. But I wont. I would play more if this was less of an issue with me. I still play though, love mechwarrior and love this game. Just dont like trying to configure mechs/ or view information and hardpoints. That in itself is alot of the game.

Sigh, another failed attempt, but on skirmish only. Usually that's pretty popular.
