So I'm ranked 91 for lone wolves, I just wanted to know how terrible that is? I mean am I rank 91 / 100 lone wolf players? Am I the ninth worst player ever? Haha, seriously I'd love to know how many players there actually are per faction / team and in total for the tournament

Yesterday after playing maybe two or three games (not a full 10 yet) with pitiful scores in each, I was ranked around 300 in Marik. That had to be near the bottom, so I'm guessing there aren't much more than 300 in this particular faction. That number probably doesn't apply to lone wolves, though. My guess is that Lone Wolves have the largest numbers of players. I dunno. Just a data point for you.

My normal play got me to 31st in the Lone Wolves last night. I was still like 600 points under the top ten. Can't imagine the grind they're putting in to get those scores. Either that or just sync dropping.

i was 35th in lone wolves when i stopped playing yesterday. was 197th when i logged in this afternoon, played a handful of matches and got to 132nd.

at least they actually show the number of drops by each faction this time. of course that doesn;t nrrow it down too much because a bunch of people could have played only 1 or 2 matches while someone else is over 100. i played about 40ish myself. kept getting 1-2 kills and 300-500 dmg in my average matches so never really getting the big kill numbers to be near the top. think i hit 4 once but probably have several of those 1-2 kill 300 dmg matches in my top scores.

guestimating on the completely random idea that since the top ten matches counted people played an average of 10 matches among everyone in the category and 2591 matches (at this point) have been played so that would put things at 259 people entering under lone wolves which would put me more or less in the middle where i have dwelled for quite some time in this game :) .

again no data to back this up so it could be that 700 people opted in but half of them only played 1 or 2 matches so their scores would be below us even if they had 7 kills 5 assists and 1k damage in their one match. who knows?

I honestly don`t think so, at least for the lonewolves. I just played 15 normal matches in my heavy metal and held the top spot with 1,9ksomething for quite a while, and now I somehow slid back into the top 10 just goofing around....

My first match was with a locust, 50 dmg and 1 kill, and I already ranked 112 at that time... for what it`s worth...

I'm like 130 for Steiner at the time. Sadly its all about kills. Even a match with dmg 800+, 10 assists doesn't get you that far. Another match i had dmg 300, 8 kills and advanced a whole lot. But the MC prices are so lean (and i know i can't compete with the best), i only wanted the dropship and help get us Steiners the Banner - so that's about done. :)

Part of me thinks that PGI has these tournaments just so they know what to nerf.

Edit: To get close to a 2k score you'd need like 6 kills, 6 assists, 600 damage and a win for all your games. There's no way the matchmaker is worth a shit if you're carrying your team that hard.

I always thought that these tournaments were trying to draw competitive team players from the cracks to normalize their elo for public games.
