Dude, here in mechlab... I put on a LRM20 first in LT. Then a Streak SRM2 in LT. Click SAVE!
Drop into a match and BAM... ******* LRM20 is coming out in small salvos!
WTF?
Whats the POINT of your damn "missle tube limits" if you cant USE them correctly???
Many other mechs are like this. How many man hours would it really take to fix this?
Its been MONTHs crap is like this. Shouldnt such a small thing only take 1 Hour to fix or what?????
All these little things that do have an effect on playing this game keep adding up and being Ignored. I give MWO 2 years before this game finally fails and you guys get the plug pulled.
"GG" . . .

They've said in the past that they have no plans to let us choose which launcher maps to which set of tubes in a location. Hopefully they'll rethink that, or at least make the launcher-to-hardpoint mapping a little more intelligent.

There is a work around.
You have to NOT have any weapons in your inventory. If you buy the weapons brand new for the mech they will go where you want them to, however you also need to buy new weapons one at a time.
Here is the step by step.
1. Remove your weapons from your mech that won't go into the slots you wanted them to live in.
2. Either sell them off (yes, you will take a loss for this), or go install them onto another mech temporarily for now. Either way, you need to have none in stock.
NOTE: Artemis missile launchers are separate from normal missile launchers. An SRM-6+Artemis is a different weapon from an SRM-6. If you are "hiding" your Artemis missile launchers on another mech, that mech needs to have the Artemis upgrade as well.
3. Install something completely different into the slots you want to use. <not sure if you need to do this, but I do it> I.E. Put in a pair of LRM-5's if you are trying to have an LRM-15 and an SRM-6, or a pair of Streak SRM-2's or such.
4. Save your mech.
5. Change to another mech, then change back to your mech you are working on.
6. Remove the placeholder weapons.
7. Install the first weapon you want that will go into the first slot. Here you need to BUY the weapon, brand new.
8. Checkout/Save your mech, change to another mech, then come back.
9. Buy your 2nd weapon to go into the 2nd slot.
10. Checkout/Save your mech
11. Unofficial eleventh step. Go back to your other mech you have been using to "hide" your excess inventory on, put it back to normal loadout.
Yes, it sucks that you need to waste C-bills on buying more weapons instead of using what you already own, but that is the price you have to pay for the time being until the hardpoints save properly.

you actually DON'T need to buy new weapons or sell them off. from what I can tell weapons are put in on a priority system based when they where bought. try to fit as many streaks as you can on a different mech first, then try your Highlander again.
if it does not work, try fitting away all the LRM's instead.
I know that works for my lasers and ballistics when they get fitted into the wrong slots. Takes some time tho.

This has worked for me for some mechs. I have no idea about he highlander though. But I was having the same problem with my Griffin 3M, and had to sell off, then buy in order of how I wanted the missile to go in.

silly rabbit.
Paul has decided to NERF everything about the Highlander (and Victor) EXCEPT what is needed to actually curtail poptarting. Why would they make it easy to use a chassis they have clearly deemed public enemy number one?

Th priority is based on the oldest launcher first. Sell off some inventory or stash thm in other mechs until this bug is fixed
