An issue that has come up upon the release of UI 2.0, that still does not seem to be recognized or mentionned (that i've seen). There was a thread after last patch about the same issue, so I am continuing this awareness campaign untill this gets adressed (and hopefully resolved).

I have reinstalled / reset in game options / deleted shaders & .cfg file / etc

I am savvy with computers and have been playing this game since closed BETA on the same machine.

I am heavily invovled with competitive play and it would be nice to get my ~25 fps back.

I will try to repost the screen shots from last patches' thread for visual reference.

Post here if you are receiving the same issues, so we can get this silly issue remedied.

Found an exerpt from the March technical Update:

"We are still investigating the reports of Motion Blur being stuck on for some players and I hope to have more information for you in the weeks to come."

*fingers crossed*

have you tried running the repair tool and deleting the systemoverride.cfg file? It's fixed this problem for others.

Yes, definetly to the Repair Tool, but no to the systemoverride.cfg file. I will try that tonight, thanks.

Where is that repair tool???

Edit:

Nevermind found it here.

Thought it was supposed to be included in the patcher.

You can not repair this. The entire user.cfg/settings situation is borked since UI2.0+DX11 came in.

I am also getting this still.

I posted within 30 minutes of the UI 2.0 patch. My post that day got moved into another persons post about the same thing, Blur/Ghost.

It is still an issue.

It occurred with old video Drivers .... ~ 8-12 months old 3.14.xx drivers, and BRAND NEW Nvidia 335.xx drivers that I updated to last week... so it's not driver related.

Playing on a 470GTX. ( Old I know, but still runs it well enough until UI2.0)

PGI broke something with UI2.0 patch in regards to motion blur/ghosting.

Please address this PGI, and give us an update or idea whats the deal.

Thank you.

After trying different drivers and deleting the systemoverride.cfg I am still getting this problem. As mentionned above I do NOT think there is a workaround for this issue.

We have to wait and pray (snake oil never hurt anyone) that PGI fixes this soon.

I get the feeling they are forcing this ON to make everyone get less visibility.

unfortunately the DoF and motion blur makes the game look really bad instead.

Have you seen how blurry and distorted things look just because they are rendered against far away terrain?

It doesn't look one bit realistic.

And shouldn't our mechs or helmets sort of compensate for distance and clear up the image rather than blur it all out?? (not that things actually get that blurry in real life. I sure as heck never experience blur like that IRL and my eye sight is really bad)

-------

Edit: Seems that DoF does go away again when turning post processing to low. Game finally looks good again.
