Lrm Is The Most Dominant Weapon In Every Match Now

Its nice to get lots of kills and points but even I say this does not make for better play. Before the change I would sometimes
be fussing that how could my score with a missile boat be so low. I would rather have to fuss than watch the balance off and no
it not the lock time. It is the time it takes to hit the target is to fast and not fair to a balanced game. Just a few thoughts from a LRM lover.

heavy lrm could be a game changer before anyways. Just a little more obvious now. Even before the patch 2 boats and a spotter was lethal.
All this complaining, and everyone is forgetting about the lights actually spotting and using things like narc now. Instead of packing in all weapons and skirmishing only.

Sorry Bart but being around from early beta that is not true. Yes, 2 well placed missile boats can be a game changer.
I and others from early beta have seen many weapons changes and please flame those who say that the last patch changed the game so it is not balanced. It could destroy the game itself. Many I know have stopped playing until they bring back in line with before. If you read my post you would understand. I agree adapt or die. Fine let them leave the missiles as they are post patch and I will continue get big points and look good. It is not good for the game and that and foremost is what its all about.
If not, better bring an umbrella!
Great sig by the way.

Even though Artemis should not give any bonus to missle spread without LoS, I have the feeling that Artemis provide the improvement even without LoS.
LRMs are fine beside their high hit chance without LoS. This is the real problem and that should be nerfed.

Not seeing what? 20-30% of all battles dominated by an LRM fest?
I am, mostly evenings. EST, say 9-11.
four, five of the ten I played last night were just that, teams not leaving the spawn area on assault, making a stand at one cap on conquest, and a mixture of gawd knows what on the rest
Suggesting "using cover intelligently" is exactly whats happening, spawn point camping and timid game play fearing LRM.
PUGS are adapting, I'm seeing more lights (sometimes half the team or more are ECM lights) and more sniper builds...
Intimating that LRM's are fine and this is good is as absurd as saying jumpjets before the shaking wasn't creating a problem with game play
btw, i'm not getting left behind, I grab that rental stalker instead of taking my own and spam LRM's.

Then that means 70-80% of the matches are dominated by direct fire fest. Also, you mentioned only during evenings LRMs are more prominent, not all day.
When you put it like that, LRMs are not as big of a deal as you claim.

Ok ... peek your nose out of cover during prime time ... I'll laugh when it gets melted off by the spam.

I mean bloody hell, there is supposed to be an LRM apocalypse in progress and I'm lucky to get a trial stalker and an LRM equipped stock mech to leach points off.

Come to think of it, has OP checked for his earlier threads there? I think there might be a few. Take a hint.
Are you kidding me??? He's the author of the biggest, longest running and most embarrassing thread on LRMs in this game. If anyone is the definitive expert on why we should only have ACs and lasers in this game, it's him:

In his eyes, LRMs are packed on 39 of the 24 mechs in each game.

You're not in the beginning Elo bracket is the problem. The one where people have to regularly replace their keyboards from all the drool.
I jumped on my "teach a newbie" account to get the free mechbay the other day and you would be surprised how many people I recognized from these LRM QQ threads.

I do, every night. Am doing fine. So, hmmmmm..... what does that say? (no ECM or AMS either).
Tells me one of us has learned to adapt, the other, apparently not. LRMs are pretty easy to defeat, 90% of the time. Those other 10%? Means they are actually viable.

But i do worry that the current state of lrms might chase away new players. Even with all its flaws i do like this game alot and I really hope that it wont die out.
