The HGN-733 got 2 torso missile hard points, one has 20 the other 10 tubes.
How can I make sure that when I put in a LRM20 and LRM10, the mech is using the right one for each launcher?

As it turned out, the mech is using the LRM10 on the 20 tube slot and the LRM20 on the 10 tube slot. When doing an alpha strike, one 10 missile volley launches alone, so obviously the LRM20 is not on the right slot. :-(

You might be the 3rd person to have issues like this in the last few days.
Ok, there is a work around, but it is a bit weird. The trick is to BUY the weapons new, not take existing weapons you own and try to use them.
Here is the step by step.
1. Remove your weapons from your mech that won't go into the slots you wanted them to live in.
2. Either sell them off (yes, you will take a loss for this), or go install them onto another mech temporarily for now. Either way, you need to have none in stock.
NOTE: Artemis missile launchers are separate from normal missile launchers. An SRM-6+Artemis is a different weapon from an SRM-6. If you are "hiding" your Artemis missile launchers on another mech, that mech needs to have the Artemis upgrade as well.
3. Install something completely different into the slots you want to use. <not sure if you need to do this, but I do it> I.E. Put in a pair of LRM-5's if you are trying to have an LRM-15 and an SRM-6, or a pair of Streak SRM-2's or such.
4. Save your mech.
5. Change to another mech, then change back to your mech you are working on.
6. Remove the placeholder weapons.
7. Install the first weapon you want that will go into the first slot. Here you need to BUY the weapon, brand new.
8. Checkout/Save your mech, change to another mech, then come back.
9. Buy your 2nd weapon to go into the 2nd slot.
10. Checkout/Save your mech
11. Unofficial eleventh step. Go back to your other mech you have been using to "hide" your excess inventory on, put it back to normal loadout.
Yes, it sucks that you need to waste C-bills on buying more weapons instead of using what you already own, but that is the price you have to pay for the time being until the hardpoints save properly.
One last thing. I have not tried this myself, but there is a rumor that the way weapons get sorted on your mech is based on how "old" the weapon is. If you buy a Large Laser a long time ago, then today buy a PPC, the Large Laser gets placed on your mech first, then the PPC goes to the 2nd slot.
If that is the case, then you only need to buy the 2nd weapon. The first weapon you mount onto your mech can be one from your inventory, but I can't promise you that is how it works.

I've never had to use inventory voodoo. But the solution has been around for a long On my way! And I haven't seen anyone come back and say it didn't work.

Actually, the 2nd method worked: I put in an old LRM20+A first, had all my other LRM10+A stashed on mechs, bought a new one - voila! It worked
Thanks alot!

Thanks alot!
