The less than optimal hardpoints for heroes is part of how PGI combats 'pay to win' arguments.

Yeah, you just made most of those way too powerful, which is why PGI didn't do that either. There is a very good reason they don't put 1 ballistic hardpoint in each torso of an assault mech... There is only one outcome to that. Thank god they didn't do that.
As for the Grid Iron, I think the changes are even simpler than that. I just needs 1 Ballistic hardpoint and 2 Missile instead of the other way around. There is limited use for a single 10 tube missile hardpoint with SRMs not working reliably. I don't even use it on mine.
I doubt many would say that the Misery needs improvement.
