Conquest Mode Insufferable

i am posting very soon a petition to have the game mode select screen be able to choose any except a certain mode.
conquest mode is really bad since the spawns were changed, now inexperienced players will just go off on their own even when the team is several discos down.
obviously they won't listen to directions and then the whole team can't break 100 dmg and not even has more than 2 caps.
if you can't fix the spread out spawns, which on some maps CLEARLY give the advantage to the players on the high ground like in alpine.. then allow me to choose to play all game modes EXCEPT conquest.
even if the team wins i have no real incentive to play conquest because 90% of the team is always light mechs on this game mode, and they leave me behind to get killed, i have basically no survivability because i OFTEN find myself alone and trying to keep up
so if i can't even cap and nobody will help me kill, then why as an assault mech pilot would i pick conquest mode.
fix this... there's obviously a bias for light pilots to choose this mode and it's really messing up what used to be varied game modes IMO, you still saw assault mechs in conquest matches, now i can always tell just by the chassis on my team which game mode it is, without looking at anything else. and i can also immediately tell if i am going to survive or die, 99% of the time my teams are all light mechs i die because they go captard or leave me behind with no support
this roll of the dice is another loss that is handed to the player, much like a team with no ecm on the current patch.
could we not make the fun factor and ability to win depend on the matchmaker? it seems it will always mess things up.
murphy's law should be expanded upon to describe what goes on with the PGI matchmaker

I am actually more annoyed that a cap win = "loser payout". Instead of getting 37.5k max in "rewards" for a cap win, it's only 1/4 of that. Only a full deathmatch win (everyone dead) is when you get a fuller payout.
So, I don't know what else to say or add. There are definition issues with Conquest, but there's no "rush" for PGI to "fix" it other than what you win.

Interesting... I find the other game modes insufferable because of the tactics they encourage. To each their own, I suppose.

this is the only mode (other than Skirmish) that actually works. It isn't just skirmish 2.0 like assault mode. I'd say 50% of the round end with a team winning by points and not by killing all the mechs.
honestly haven't seen tactical changes....most sqauds stick together and/or link up with other squads to move about and take positions.
Some maps are bad though and they do give advantage to one team over the other (Alpine IS especially bad at this)
this is the only mode I really like. Assault is a mess and Skirmish is just that
yes, the payouts should be adjusted, a win is a win and the winning team either won by brute force or by being smart enough to take and hold onto capture points. Give us the full win amount.

Maybe if assaults could walk over a tiny bump it would help with the distance problem. Espically alpine and canyon, can't even get out of the little creek that's like 2 feet deep. Other than that, your problem is with pugging the need to coordinate more on conquest just compounds it. Voip would help, failing that some better command interface.

You know its funny Mechs have Arms and hands but are unable to use them to scale semi steep inclines!

Yawn - why can't lights and mediums have a mode that favours them? There are too many slow fatties in the game already.

and every single time it's a loss as well, teams of all lights are AWFUL!!!!!! and they don't give a rat's ass about their team mates. all they can think is going captard and getting WRECKED by the enemy when they're alone

SERIOUSLY, WHAT INCENTIVE IS THERE FOR ME TO PLAY CONQUEST MODE AS AN ASSAULT PILOT, LOOK AT THE PICTURE, IT HAPPENS OVER AND OVER -
i guess i'll have to wait for 3/3/3/3 - it can't come too soon!!!!!!!!
obviously as the only assault the enemy team just charged me in the first seconds after my team mates were DISPERSING along the map by themselves (because that's a GREAT winning strat!!! /SARCASM)
and it doesn't even happen a few times a day, every time i get conquest it's the same story....
GIVE ME BUTTON TO CHOOSE ASSAULT OR SKIRMISH, i don't wanna play conquest until you fix this mess
you'd think they would look at the team screen and adapt to using swarm tactics on the enemy, but no
all they can think of is
"im gonna try and cap as many bases and not even shoot my weapons or help fight because that's how i roleplay herpderp!!! - i make believe this is gran turismo or some driving sim HERP! i try to win without shootin a single laser that rules so much DERP!!"
i do feel bad for the misery though, the game didn't even have the decency to make us spawn together, so our lances just BOLTED on us at the first milisecond and left us to die
is this incentive for light mechs to play this game mode? i don't see how, since lighter teams BARELY ever win, if they do it's cause they have suffered 11 casualties and the last guy is severly damaged and manages to run out the clock....
do you think if this was an actual real life mission to capture resources, this would be acceptable? losing 11 of 12 armored units? for what, a radar antenna, some supplies??
it doesn't even make sense in a roleplay sense.
and going captard makes no sense in any way - those players just LOOOVE to lose. i can't find another explanation.
in my 3200 drops the only thing i say for SURE, is that light mech captards LOOOOOVE to lose.

Odd I find conquest matches better these day's having finally got most of the Shoot-em up players moved to Skirmish mode.
But yes mode selection should be select games I want to join NOT all or 1.

I find Conquest matches to be both the most interesting matches, and tend to be the closest.
Plus - you can't just turtle up behind cover.
