I don't like aiming - who has time for it?

I'd honestly rather just have my AC shells seek out my enemy for me. I mean, why not eh? Aiming is so overrated! Like, seriously, are we living in the stone age?

If something is really easy to use, then it should also be able to do huge amounts of damage, am I right folks!?

Put away your silly primitive aiming weapons and step into the new world of MWO:Toddler Warfare

Lurms might not require aiming due to their lock-on mechanic, but they have a truckload of other weaknesses to counteract that.

They require assloads of ammo, are fairly heavy in tonnage, generally need 1-2 modules as accessories (namely Adv. Target Decay), pretty much require TAG and/or NARC as accessories, take a lot longer to reach the target than any direct-fire weapon, generate moderate heat, spread out their damage, can be shot down by AMS, can be nullified by ECM, cannot be snapshot-fired due to requiring a lock, must maintain the lock until impact (keep facing enemy, which is bad if you're in the open), and are useless inside of 180 meters.

you mean to break 750 dmg consistently? yes they need 1200+ missile.
poor things!!!!!! their life so difficult :)

I don't need anywhere near that much ammo to break 750 damage with my LL + 2 AC/2 Shadow Hawk -- or any other non-LRM build of mine.

That's not how Adv. Target Decay works. It simply lets you keep the lock longer after the enemy has left your LoS (assuming you don't have a spotter). You still need to keep the lock or the Lurms miss.

Actually, my agenda is to keep LRMs in decent shape so I don't get my CT ripped out by high-alpha poptarts as often.

ahh ok i assumed you meant LOS, instead of lock.

but lock should stay longer than LOS when using target decay for a few secs so, i don't see the problem with that

unless you press R and break lock on purpose.. it can still hit people that have moved back into cover
so i wouldn't call it a huge downside

unfortunately, the drama queen exit did not garner the attention and flood of supporting PMs he was hoping, so he is back. No more interesting, or informed than before. But you know, trolls. *shrug*

Apparently he has developed a strong fixation with my balls though. Mildly disturbing, that. Wonder if it's because he lacks them in real life?

*yawn*.

Actually some of us simply paid attention in school. Probably why we don't wet ourselves and hide in the closet over a few LRMs, either, since we are natively intelligent enough to learn to cope, adapt and survive. But by all means, continue to enlighten the rest of us to just how shallow the family genepool is on your end.

and if that is your need, enjoy it. Just don't devolve into a pathetic attention monger like Rexy, here, K? House Marik is better than that. (Well, Mazzy is questionable........)
