You must play a lot... I can barely keep it above 10m. And I hardly spend... I have 16 mechs apart from my Phoenix... Only paid for 1 hero and the hangers...

I went through a period of time where I didn't play more than a few games a week because I was bored. Got back into it again but I'm not using any premium time or Founder/Hero mechs really...might take the Firebrand and Ilya out for a spin here and there but I'm not "grinding," per se. I just play and let the C-bills add up without paying attention to it. Probably play about 10-15 hours a week again now.

Great question, Man.
If it were up to me, the game would have Repair & Rearm costs after each Drop.
Also, I'd imagine that C-Bills would be used later on during CW/FW to help pay for Drop Ships, additional base defense and all that jazz (in a perfect world).

The reason why I think that the C-Bill earnings should not be increase, is because of players like you and the people you've mentioned (don't mean this in a negative way). Clearly earnings are more than enough - seeing how you guys have virtually all the Mechs and tonnes of cash still laying around.
If the earnings were altered, like the OPs request, you'd be sitting on double what you are now.

C-Bill earnings are fine.

I've been playing since September 2012 so I've had a ton of time to accumulate all this. Without CW, repair/rearm, buying dropships and everything else you mentioned, its just deathmatch for the most part. It's fun, but pointless really. Only reason I'm still around is because I played TT, MPBT EGA and the MW games a long time ago and love the universe the game is set in.

When we had repair & rearm we had also had higher payouts. As for the rest at this point I would say that is nothing more than a pipe dream.

So because you are a penny pincher everyone else should be? Who is to say they didn't buy most of those mechs with real money? That isn't a good enough reason to justify the current earnings.

That is one opinion, but on the other hand I think C-bill earnings are very much not fine.

You earned what you did. Your reward is reasonable but you could earn easily more money just by assisting more, making saviour kills, spotting assist and other stuff. Damage has little influence on your income.

Precisely my point. Doing 1 point of damage (getting assist) and moving on is worth more than 400 points of damage and a kill, but does not mean jack in contribution to your team. That's precisely my point. Reward those of us that don't just sit back with ERLLs and scrape them across the field getting assists and who get in there and fight and win for the team.

Out of 64 mechs, I have 3 Heroes, 4 Founders and 12 Phoenix mechs paid with real cash...the other 45 were grinded out.

Yes, C-bill rewards were higher before...that is true. I do think that your reward for that initial game in the OP is BS but based on what the current system is, that's what the payout currently is. It was possible to make a million in 4 wins with premium time. PGI nerfed C-bill rewards under the guise of adding additional bonuses coming in from CW but it was really because players were accumulating too many C-bills.

As far as windowed mode is concerned...it seems unprofessional lol.

I like multitasking while playing! What of it?! I can't balance a few spreadsheets while autocannoning the PUG crowd?!?! Oh well, I'm done bitching for the day. I think I got my point across.

Well, you hardly get survivor kills while sitting back and just tagging everyone once. Getting many assists is only one factor to make money.
What you need are kills, assists, savior kills and all the other bonus as well. Then you can make up to 190.000 CB without any premium or mech bonus and I am sure you can make even more.

Back up a page or two, I posted a 3rd SS of a game with all of the above. 154k without Hero/Prem

Seriously? Are you math challenged or just trolling us?

If you deal 1 damage, then you ONLY get the Assist. Deal more damage, and you get the assist, more C-bills from the extra damage, maybe some components.....Oh and more likely to win and get the salvage bonus.

Oh and here you are bitching about 200K when the average is half that or less.

If you are only about the C-bills, then play for them. If you are having fun playing, what's the problem? Play and earn C-bills. At this point i think you just want to argue or not admit we might have a point.....

As to spotting assists....I don't know that it's documented here on the site, but if I find it I will post it.

I consider 150k a good run but far from optimum.
You might want something like this. Just my last match but you can get much more. Now add Premium/Hero and you earn more money than you need.

I used to use the same justification about paying $4 for premium colors (before they went on sale) and buying unlimited use paint schemes for chassis but now I just play for free and refuse to give PGI any more money.

Enough is enough...

For those wondering what the "average" player gets...it's above me.

I net anywhere from 45k to 80k a match, due to not really being a damage dealer. I'm more of....bait.

I own 4 'Mechs (3 Jenners and a Jag-A), and it IS a pain to get upgrades. Having said that...PGI could stand to up the rewards a little, but not much. Gaining as little as I do is somewhat frustrating, to be sure, but that's what I get for my performance. Giving out TOO much, on the other hand, and it becomes too easy to get everything under the sun, and not having another 'Mech to grind for would mean consumables are it.

The rewards should be based, not on kills...not on assists...but on damage. Pure and simple. THAT is the basis of how well you helped your team win. Anyone can get the last shot on a 'Mech and take the kill, and of course, spotting and assists could simply mean MGing everything in sight and carrying a TAG. But if you're laying the lead down, you should get paid for it.

I agree with most of what you say. However pure damage isn't a good metric. If you spray and pray all over several mechs, yes you did damage, and some of it helped someone kill it, but blowing leg armor off an Assault while everyone else works the torso......

I too started in Lights, and assists (spot and kills etc) were where I made my money. Well that and I played a lot of Conquest for the extra money, and capped my ass off. but mostly I just focused on getting better, and let the money add up as time went by.

TAG is a whole ton... I agree with you and TAG a lot, but it's a ton.

Why the hell not?
This isn't a collectible Mech game. The intent isn't to have the largest Mech Garage known to man.
If you want to collect them all, have at it - just don't complain that the game is shit because it's taking you too long.

Ha. It IS a collectible Mech game.
