MY question about this is basically if we don't get the pack, will we eventually be able to get these mechs down the road? I just hit a financial hard time, and I won't be able to afford any of them. When I first signed up here, I thought I would be able to, seems I was wrong. I love the Catapult and then Jenner. Not so much on the Atlas and Hunchie. Hunchie back armor too weak , at least in tabletop. If you get caught from behind, then your screwed.

Thinking about how much founders (we) paid for their packs and how long before even trying the game they (we) paid to support the dev.... I really hope that founder mech will never be available in other ways!

You can't buy two elite accounts, but you can upgrade to Legendary. It would make no sense to allow this as it would be a significantly better package than Legendary at the same cost.

mm....I can kinda see them allowing u to buy founders mechs again when say an expansion comes out. Though u will most likely be choosing from a different set of mechs. Or maybe they will have special weekends that will have a chance to bye a founders mech, who knows at this point.

Looking at most of the post it seems that the founder mech's are the same as the mech's to can get in game and they are upgradeable. They will just earn more c-bills/xp per and if sounds like a custom skin/tag. Unlike WOT where premium tanks can not be gotten for in-game currency are not upgradeable

id honestly like to see a $90 pack that has 3 mechs and maybe $100 worth of c-bills and 3 months premium
however i would pay $120 if i could get 2 mechs $160 worth of c-bills and 4 months premium
i realy dont care too much about the whole name in credits thing and not an atlas fan and while the HB is nice id rather have the Jenny and Pult if i had to pick 2

Do you understand that the packages you'd like will make the Legendary package unworty of its price?

You can buy them down the road the only difference is they wont have the fancy paint job of founders mechs and they wont earn 25% more credits per game. Otherwise the mech you buy from the ingame store for credits should be exactly the same. Its not like World of Tanks where the premium tanks are only avaliable for money.

Thanks for the responses guys. I appreciate it. If the money earned is anything like it is in Megamek's economy, Smart play will keep cost down, and the cash up. The Catapult is my favorite mech. I have tweeked it so much on tabletop from playing salvage rules, and I honestly love it. I always loved it back in the days of MPBT. It was a very good mech then, and I still feel that way about it.

Yeah I think it will be like WOT. So you may need to drive some of the smaller cheaper to run mechs to earn money for the largest mechs if you don't have premium. Thats where the premium account will shine because the 50% extra C-Bills and exp should make any of the mechs profitable and the premium mechs should then be super profitiable with premium stacked on.

As far as I was concerned. $120 isn't THAT much in the grand scheme of things. 4 mechs with a boost for life.. means I might not need to drop more cash later (hey I probably will but who knows).

Considering the amount of enjoyment I'll get out of the game and how often I'll probably end up playing. $120 goes down well.

I think the hours I spend playing will quickly surpass the $120 that dropped.

another question I have regarding the legandary mechs and the game itself. I been trying to find this, but can't. Is the game going to allow chances of Salvage of your enemy's mechs? If so, then the risk of that mech going to someone else might not also be worth the money... I don't know if it will or not allow salvage in this game, but I thought I would throw out the question......

I dont think you will be able to salvage mechs as that wouldnt be too fair to the other players especially for ones you bought.

I didnt say $120 was expensive just that I am more interested in the ingame credits and premium time than having four mechs and my name in the credits. In the long run I am sure I will spend 200-300 bucks just like world of tanks =) If I can buy another elite pack I am happy to throw another $60 at them if they want to take it =)

This would be a "screw you" to everyone who bought the legendary package. As the total dollar value would clearly be greater.

I don't see it happening.

This. We all know the OP (and all of us) would take the 4 mechs in a heartbeat, we just want more in-game currency! I'm sure these packs were not thrown up on a whim, they must be well thought out by the beancounters :(

I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan and I was worried about the same thing you guys are discussing. I didn't want to miss out on this, so I went with the legendary pack and hope it was worth it.

I really doubt this would happen. People who buy the current Legendary will still have reason to spend money after the first couple months, when all their bonuses start to run out and new things continue to release. Doing it your way, you'll be set without having to spend more money for quite some time. The whole business model behind free2play games is blending you enjoying yourself and getting any money you put in's worth with the right balance of convincing you to spend more. An extra $60 up front probably isn't worth the lost sales on the back end for giving so much in-game credit and sub time, whereas the extra founder's mechs won't give you EVERYTHING you want and leaves you interested in spending more.
