Hi guys.

So i want to make a fast jump capable 3D. Got tired of its old loadout dual gauss ERPPC and it was slow without jay jays. Time for a change.

Threw together 2LL 2ML 2MG 4JJ STD320. But it feels like im wasting the balistic slots. As always with STD engines on heavies the tonnage becomes a problem. Plus that is what i would put on a medium, not the legendary 3D.

Help me guys make this into a beast

I play almost exclusively with Cataphracts and I dont know if this build will work for you but i use x2 er large lasers and x2 lbx10(or ac10s if u want to pinpoint) i also have an XL torso but i have heard that that leads to low survivability. I play dirty though and dont fight fair so i seem to be doing well of late. Hope it helps!! If that is not ur style i used to use a x2 gauss x4 med las build. just some ideas!

Funny thats the loadout i just made but with STD220 engine. Well my style is pack big guns and go slow. But ive been doing it for so long its time for change. Thank you for your contribution, ideas is what i need,

Cataphract-3D with 2xUAC5 @3, 3xJJ, 2xLLas, XL340, 10DHS, Endo

2x AC5 2x PPC Metaphract

This is the typical top tier Cataphract. Feel free to move the PPCs to the other side of the 'mech if you prefer, it's asymmetrical by design here so that you can use the entire left side as a giant meat shield that won't harm you much even if you lose it. It's only carrying 2 tons of AC/5 ammo so won't kill your CT (provided it's intact) even if you suffer an explosion.

Moving the PPCs to the other side will mitigate your risk of losing all your firepower, though, so again the option is yours.

You know, I don't generally like UAC5 + LL, but that would be a pretty nice weapons combo on the 3D for the Marik Civil War no PPC drops. I'll keep that in mind.

Dual ppc in the shoulders, dual ac 5's in the right ST and arm, use the left arm as a sheild. 2JJ, xl280, max armor.

You know, I don't generally like UAC5 + LL, but that would be a pretty nice weapons combo on the 3D for the Marik Civil War no PPC drops. I'll keep that in mind.

This guys build needs to move some of that back armor to the front, and never ever put ammo in your CT. also meh to the STD. And the ppc's are in bad slots for a poptart. Should be in the shoulders.

Seeing as everyone wants to use the Xl320 and below, I'll go ahead and say that the XL340 is a godsend. 86.5 in a phract is marvelous. Try some of these

4LL

4 ML 2UAC5

2 UAC5 1LL 1 MPLS

2LL 2 AC5

2AC10 2 MLS

and as always 2 JJ with the XL340 for maximum speed.

I run 2xLL & 2xAC5 on a K2 with more ammo than that. 3 tons is barely adequate for twin AC5, 4 is good. 3 tons ammo for twin UAC5? Gonna tap it out pretty frequently.
