It would be nice to have the side torsos able to handle LRM10's and the arms either saying at 10 or allowing 15's to operate normally. This would still make the STK-3H unique in the fact it can handle 20's in the arms (its the only one that can out of the stalkers). This would make the stalker a far better LRM boat then it is now, by allowing more missiles per a flight to launch out instead of 2 or 3 staging them. True LRM mechs are the ones able to fully fire all missiles out at once without 2 staging them. This also helps the LRM mechs overcome thick AMS clouds, as 2 or 3 staging a bigger launcher gives AMS more time to knock out more missiles in the air. A LRM20 coming out of an SRM 6 tube, for example, can be defeated by a single AMS, with maybe 1 missile making it though. (this is solo vs solo).
This isn't a complaint, its just how the game mechanics work when you multistage your LRM salvos. It dose allow you to get better groupings allowing more missiles to hit the Torso of a mech. However it also gives AMS a big boost in shooting down more of them as well. Firing all of the missiles at once out of a larger launcher that is able to handle that 15 or 20, allows you to defeat AMS at the cost of blanketing your missiles across the entire mech, instead of hitting more torso. This is why the 6 LRM5 A1 is a useless LRM mech, AMS will shoot all your missiles down and you will do nothing. You will have to alpha them to make it though, in which then, it would of been better to have taken a CPLT-C4 or CPLT-C1 which can fire the same amount and have backup weapons (the C4 can chain-fire like the A1 and make it though AMS).

So that was my thoughts of when PGI eventually gets around to adjusting stalkers to have dynamic hardpoints like the rest of the mechs we have. I know the Awesome need the love too along with the rest of the older mechs.

>implying the Awesome rework wouldnt come first

I think the only problem the Stalker has as a mech is the fact the 3H and 4N dont do anything special.
Why should the Stalker be the premier LRM boat? Wouldnt this make the Catapult completely obsolete? Even more than they currently are?

Not for nothing, the Stalker has always been great, and the last thing I want to see at this point in my life is more Stalkers, because if I recall correctly, the point they were introduced into the game was the point where MWO took a monster nosedive in funfactor and balance.
