Both my lance mates and I have noticed that the Banshee will occasionally have AC rounds pass through and explode on terrain behind them. Both AC5 and AC10 were observed on at least 6 different matches passing through the chest area and impacting/exploding behind the targeted mech. Laser fire was not observed passing through and did normal damage. Ping was reported to be between 25 and 84 on all six matches. One player thought that the right side area was more likely the suspect hit box, while another thought it was center chest. This seemed to happen when enemy mech was stationary or retreating backwards.

Now that's curious. I've only run a handful of matches since the patch (maybe 30?), but I am interested in knowing if more people are noticing this. I think I only say ten or so Banshees during my limited travels so I don't have anything to add. But if this was the case, well, obviously the authorities would be concerned.

Videos and support tickets are the way to go.

"I think" and "others say" don't prove anything and there can be no bugfixes to mere hunches.

I posted a thread yesterday (odd ball quirks and bugs) stating the exact same thing. Its not the banshee, its an old problem. Theres lots more too. Hit detection is a tragedy in this game.

Clientside projectile calculations causes odd effects with projectiles.

Just ignore it.

Damage does not register at all when that happens. It is different from other hit detection issues. Should definitely not be ignored. Just saw it happen too. Seems to be the Banshee E especially. It is not only ACs but MGs as well. Hopefully I will have video capture running the next time I encounter that to mail it to support.
Needs to be addressed! The 4 ACs Banshee Es are very strong even without being unhitable on one half of their torso.
