This is the first( I think ) and Official Tutorial on how to use Mechwarrior 4 Editor!!! (Well, most of it anyways :D) For those of you who don't know what Mechwarrior 4 Editor is, MW4 Editor is a program released in 2010 along with Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries for free. Although the Full game is lost among the web, this program comes stock, nothing should change about it whatsoever.

First off, let's start with what the program looks like. It should look like the icon used for Mechwarrior 4: Vengence. It should be named MW4Ed2. The File description should be named Mechwarrior IV Mission Editor.

Let's Start with next the tabs that appear on the interface for this application. The First is the Overview properties, this guy let's you dictate what should show up on the overview map and what shouldn't. The Overview map allows you to show a overview of the entire map, and allows you to place objects from the Resource tab. The Resource tab allows you to choose one of the following lists' items and place it onto the overview map. Next up we have Object Manager. Object Manager lets you see what has been placed onto the Overview tab and to group them and such. Lastly is the Game View tab. The Game View tab lets you free camera view what your map looks like in-game, or objects that you have placed. To move foward, hold W. To move back, hold S. To move left, A, and right, D. To turn Right, E, and left, Q. To move up to a higher Point of View, hold Shift and W at the sme time. To move to a lower Point of View, hold Shift and S.

Expect more information coming soon, this is a quick overview of the Application and as I am short of time right now, I have postponed it for a bit.

That was quite some time ago :) I have made several maps for mw4, black knight expansion and mercs. If anyone would like to play around with them, I'll upload them for nostalgia.
