Looking to buy a new mech, but I can't figure out how to load the variants hardpoints and default loadout stats. How do I do this.

Go to Mechlab, from there look at the top left there should be a filter that says "Owned mechs" or some such. Click on that and switch it to "purchasable" that should show you what they have and what they start with.

You can also visit smurfy's to look at every mech in the game with accurate hardpoint allocations, and other stats.

Will post screen caps in a minute.

Don't forget when using the mechlab, filter purchasable option... There's a "Mech Details" that gives you a Smurfy like display too.

Just highlight a mech with your mouse, don't click on it, so you can get the display on the right side quickly.

Just a tiny thing: to be able to use the "Mech Details" button, you do have to click on the Mech Icon / "Card".
So hovering on the Icon gives you that pop-up info, clicking on the Icon shows some basics and the "Mech Details" button.

That is correct and I forgot to mention that.
