I'm gonna draft a basic Urbie pack here.

• Prime (30% C-Bill boost) +2 more (maybe 3) variants (with their own mech bays of course)
  
• Unique geometry, camo and paint
  
• Unique hanging item (or 1-3 unique cockpit items)
  
• Forum Badge
  
• 30-ish days of premium time

So far this is the reasonable thing to be expected as offered, for a pack of about 30 dollars

The Gold pack would include the whole shabang, plus a gold mech as well.

I would personally hope for another one light mech with prime + 2 variants being offered. on top of this.

Premium time doesn't interest me - the hanging cockpit items?

Maybe.

Paints, patterns, and other fun doodads are most of what drew me into the other packs.
(Edit: that and the relative value of the contents of the packs - packs were worth ~2-4x what we payed for in total contents, if I remember right)

Unique geometry? really depends.
Most of the stuff for the (P) I could have lived without (Except the BM's shoulders) clan packs though, I wanted my rounded legs.

Remember the actual Urbie pack is gonna be around 30 dollars, which is what I listed. The Gold pack will have that, plus the unique Golden Urbie. That's about it. 100 dollars is a lot for it, but so was 500 for the khan mechs.

Yes, but PGi are running for 'better value'. Additionally, the Gold Mechs were around the point of around double.

So at 20-30, 40-50 for gold is reasonable.
And really, for a lonely light, even the Urbie - how many people will actually pay that?
I'd pay 50 tops quite happily, it's silly, but it's at a vaguely acceptable. More and it gets ludicrous and I won't.

Actually we should also add a new game mode, Rise of the Urbies. 12 v 12, all urbies.

$80 for a Gold Urbie pack and I'd buy it. $100 is a little steep with the normal pack being $30 and at the $80 point that's $50 for one mech and a mechbay. Still, at $80, that's nearly 3 clan mechs equivelant.

Every time I see this thread bumped I keep hoping that its because the Urban Mech is coming.

This ever gets released in game and the Light Queue is going to be 100%. It will break Matchmaker.

I think the best idea here is to work on creating some kind of summoning chant or jutsu to call forth the urban mech from the depths of hell to play, while in the game.

and for the urbie haters a new training grounds mode "Night of the Living Urbies"- River City night (or mechfactory) 15 minute timer where you, in your mech of choice, must survive randomly spawning enemy AI Urbie lances every 30 seconds for the first 14 minutes of it. over 100 urbies to shoot if you make it all the way

I hope next year for April 1st they do a surprise "Forced Urbie Drop" where one player on each team is randomly forced to drop in an urbie mech (determined while map is loading), instead of the mech they chose. The game type mode is "Protect the Urbie/VIP". And if your Urbie dies, you lose, if you kill the enemy Urbie you win. Happens all day until April 1st is over. And then afterward regular VIP game mode is introduced.
