I will admit that the Urbie is popular, but honestly, unless they jacked the price up specifically for this mech - which would be dumb due to the reaction it would get - they get almost as much money from a player buying a premium color as they would from an Urbanmech...

You say that, but the Urbie Hero would be 2250 MC, a regular variant around 900-1200.

So a trio (hero + 2 normal, 3 mechbays) would be around 5200 MC, or around US$20-25.
So if you offer a Hero variant, 2 normal, 3 mechbays, and some extras ( a couple of colours, maybe a camo, badge+title, a week or two of premium time, maybe a cockpit item) and it'll fly.

Throw in a Gold Pack for +US$20 or +US$30, with extra colours, an extra title+badge, extra premium, maybe a golden cockpit item? And that'll fly too.
They'll make loads.

1000-2000 packs would be enough to make a profit over the cost needed to make the pack, not including potential Golds.
350+ people have said they'd buy it here alone.

Go back to the thread list ("Announcements" section), click on the "1,173 replies" text for this thread, and up pops a window with everyone that's replied and how many replies they have.

After that, it's a short copy-paste into a text editor and checking the line count to see how many unique posters there are.

Why not make a whole reinforcement pack out of it. Have the Urbie, the Flashman, and the Imp. Call it the 'Humpty Dumpty' pack or something. I don't care if there are enough variants or if they are even the same tech base. Just gimme all the eggy-weggs so I can smash 'em!

One of the oldest threads on the forums is called "Petition for Urbanmech", it's from November 1st, 2012, and ran for 39 pages.

It's pretty safe to assume PGI knows the player base wants the Urbie.

That's brilliant. I've wanted the flashman in here for a while. I think it can actually give the TWolf a run for it's money. The Imp is an added bonus on top of that.
