Yup. I said this on twitter to Russ as well, but if they'd released a hero+3 regular variants of urbanmechs with this patch, if have bought MC and grabbed the whole lot of them right then and there. In a heartbeat.

I rather like the suggestion of adding 'Hero only' mechs of single-variant models. The Caesar (attach to the Catphract skill tree if you must), Enforcer (attach to Cent), and so on.

Too bad they didn't release an Urbanmech today. Like a lot of other old Battletech hands, I'd buy one.

Stop playing games with my heart. ...My poor, trash-o-phillic, besotted by BattleTech's R2-D2, "2/3/2 is so dreamy" heart.

Having the Urbanmech available and useful would be a creative challenge, but diversity does help keep the game fresh. The stock Banshee is a gonzo build, yet they brought it in. This can be done not just in the name of Urbie fanservice, just find a way to make it balanced (and perhaps a nemesis to)... the ridiculously agile Spider.

At least I was before they brought in artillery. But, consumables, 3rd person view and ghost heat are important to your target audience, right guys?

I have a lot of other bones to pick with this game, but foolin' on everybody's favorite l'il mech... was phenomenally funny. Especially all the negative Nancys whining about how they "really want a cute little urbie of my vewy own. Phooey on you PGI! Phooey!".
