Part of me is hoping not - because while I have bought all the packs available to me so far - my budget was strained by such and I could not keep it up.

That and I am over half way through what is available for cbills and not looking forward to not grinding for more mechs
(Yes - I am weird like that :P)

On the other hand - I bought the packs more for the other bonuses, so...

I wouldn't be to thrilled either by continued pack building, as there are now very few mechs I wish to own.

its also looking like the faction camo and badges are perks for buying the packs now and not as loyalty rewards in CW for points using a similar system to Warthunder

That will teach me to read all my e-mails and not see it as just another advert and ignore it, ho ho bloody ho as yes I let the 7days free expire as well

:o   :(

So was community warfare, but.....heyo!

We could easily get three chassis that follow the three original dominant designs- AC/10, LB-10X (3050 refit) and AC/20.

I can seriously get into a light Mech that could burp out AC/20 rounds at well-quirked speeds. Poor lil' thing is gonna disintergrate if you shoot it too serious too fast, so allowing it to hurt something back would be nice.

YEs, but I meant other than Frankenmechs, but a specific mech designed with regular hardpoints, and 1-2 omnipod sections.

But, like I said, doubt it exists.

So, dragging up this old post, apparently there is an entire mech that is pretty much what you're looking for. I cannot, for the life of me remember it's name, but basically the entire thing has fixed weaponry. But it's main weapons are actually on this gun-like thing that it holds in it's hands. There are different types of these guns, and are easily swapped out.
So I guess that's it. One mech, all fixed equipment except for one part.

Would be funny as heck if you gave that sermon and then amongst the vacant stares there is one dude in the congregation that starts laughing histericaly! At least you would find a fellow mechwarrior that way!

There is a testbed variant of the Axman, the AXM-6X, that mounts a few body-mounted weapons but carries its main firepower in handheld packages (the TT rules for which are found on pages 315-316 of Tactical Operations).

This Axman variant introduced in 3074, and uses several experimental systems as a technology test-bed. The hatchet and standard weaponry have been removed. In their place is a pair of Thunderbolt 15 missile launchers in the torso, while each leg mounts a pair of ER Medium Lasers. This is important, as the Axman-6X uses several hand-held weapons to provide its main firepower. A Clan-spec engine coupled with a Supercharger keeps the 6X moving at high speeds. Though the Thunderbolt missiles provide some firepower, they're only supported by a ton of ammunition.

The weapons systems available to the Axman-6X include:
  • Light Autocannon - Light AC/5 with 1 ton of ammunition and a half-ton of armor.
  • Enhanced LRM - Enhanced LRM-10 and a half ton of ammunition.
  • ER Medium Laser - One ER Medium Laser, five Heat sinks, and a half-ton of armor.
  • Heavy Flamer - Three Heavy Flamers, one ton of ammunition, and a ton of armor.
  • Fluid Gun - Twin Fluid Guns with two tons of ammunition available protected by a half-ton of armor. The flexible nature of the Fluid Gun's ammunition allows this weapon pod to be used in non-combat situations.
  • LRM System - This weapon pod carries three LRM-5 launchers and a half-ton of ammunition.
  • MML System - A single MML-7 with a ton of ammunition and armor.
  • Streak SRM Launcher - A single Streak SRM-6 with a ton of ammunition, which is protected by a ton of armor.

Additionally, the QKD-8X variant of the Quickdraw (pictured below) & the Clan-built Incubus II also made use of the same handheld weapon module technology.

The whole hand-held design is rooted in Robotech, which is probably why the players you talked to dislike them. The whole Harmony Gold thing is a sore spot for all of us, and that is one of the most visible cues of that artwork.

I love me some melee weapons. Soon as they implement them in this game I'm getting all the Centys that I don't have right now, and slapping hatchets into their arms to smash some fools.

Wow, 2000th post and not an urbanmech in sight!

Then we shall give them another 2000 and more until we get the Urbie!
