And since you have a package bought already, Nightshade, I doubt that you have no payment options (which is, as seen above, technically impossible). The Merciless badge kinda gives it away.

my girlfriend gave it to me, she currently has no internet. (or a roof over her head that she can call her own, which is another story).

Any other previous transactions that involve MW: O have been transactions with people I know in person.

on the topic of paypal, I need to go to the bank, to go to the bank, I need to wait a very... long... time.

Besides the currently very long travel time, there is the fact that there is no bank I can access in a reasonable distance without spending more money on fuel for travel due to the Earthquake.

As I said earlier. I am Happy to do a trade via steam giving a game of equal price.
This also means higher chance of urbie getting in game and this gives an extra sale (not like we need it but just imagine it... the urbie gets so many sales on the first week that PGI add a road mark loyalty thing they did for phoenix on the urb package... which will be most likely maxed out and needing an extension)

Also direct debit/ credit card options are not really an option due to some laws here.

It's kinda like how in some countries you have to be 21 to drink while in others you can drink at 16... while in the same countries as reference the age to drive is 16 while the other one is around 20.

How can you have no payment option. Even a 2yo can set up a PayPal account.

not if it involves a few hours drive to exit the city to go to the next.

yo-yo can't drive that far without crashing. (refer to above)

Russ said no hero urbie........But theres a reason you need all those hero mechs.

Imagine a match starts in Frozen City and mechs are shifting and looking around as they hear this speech come out of a warhorn: "How I've waited for you to come.......I've been here all alone....."

Yeah, temp debit / credit cards, PayPal, ecards etc...

read above for details.

As I am looking at this I am in a rather unfortunate situation... ironically I know more people who are in a more unfortunate situation after the christchurch earthquake with there homes destroyed, family lost, jobs lost, etc. Which kind of saddens me more about the whole 'gloom-church' situation. I can see why I spent more time inside in 2012 then the previous five years alone... however this could be because no MW game (official) was released from 2004 to 2012...

there was always something about the jagermech that always attracted me...

I guess I could pick up 1 for the sale and pretend to be a Urbanmech mk II and drive around with an AC 20, quad medium lasers, and 2 MG's on the other arm. If only the jager had JJ....

Has there been another Christchurch earthquake?

That all sucks.
I'll have a think on alternatives in case there's any options.

What would be awesome would be to make the max engine size bigger than the spider and 8+ jump jet capacity and let people totally go at customizing the urban... I would love to see it added, it is an iconic mech.

I think this is what i'm missing. Where exactly did it become iconic?

I'm re-collecting/re-reading the entire BT/MW novel series. So far i'm 23 publications in, in roughly IS timeline chronological order, and a UM hasn't had a single appearance or mention yet.

It was never Iconic from a canon perspective. The player base made it Iconic. There is love for the scrappy-trash-can-that-could. Its been glorified by the player base.

And I don't know if you can call it really Iconic as the word is defined, but it is significant to a passionate segment the player base, so it maybe iconic to them. But when I think Mechwarrior or Battletech, Urbanmech its probably the 50th thing I think of, so its not Iconic to me.

It was one of the 3 mechs that ambushed Justin Allard on Solaris when he was facing Capet for the championship in the finale of Warrior En Guard.

Only mention I remember it in the books.

Its mostly a BG thing.

In the table top, the urbie is a terrible mech, but its a terribly CHEAP mech as well. At under 500 points when more typical "decent" mechs come in at around 1500 points, Urbie swarms can be deceptively deadly given that the AC 10 is actually a fairly rugged weapon in TT. And there is also an AC 20 version by cannon.

Given their slow speed, they also are deceptively lethal as a mech that supports smaller infantry blocks in combined arms games.

They are a joke of a mech, but a joke of a mech with weapons that can do some serious harm if underestimated. Especially with "urbie swarms" given their cheap price.

Its why you get comics like this crop up around the BG (The one that the video is based on):

In the tabletop.
It's a super cheap heavy hitter with jump jets.
Best in cities, with low running and repair costs.

You could buy and maintain a full squad of urbies for the price of one Atlas.

It's also great fun and sort of snow balled.

In MWO, it'd make a great mech defensively anyway, but if they're going to give it spider speeds... Holy crap.

Spider speeds eh? And 6ish hard points so 150kph 6 machine gun urbies? Very interesting or some ml's plus machine guns like emberbie. Either way we will need a stock Urbie Thursday for Urbie purists. :) so exciting!

Man, if I can run a 6-machine gun Urbie, I'll have to dig out one of those 6MG spider sits from way back and have some fun.

And that is not all, in the novel Tactics of Duty Alexander Carlyle in a gray death battle armor takes command of some kind of tank and destroys a leg of an Urby by ramming it while on an infiltration mission gone bad :) .
