ruining clans and IS interaction... as if urbie would make immersion worse than that! seriously you compare urban mechs to battletech like a WW1 tank to a modern day one. for sure urban mech was used only in urban terrain {name's a bit of a give away} but in BT you had choices on where and what you fielded to an exstent, by you're logic we should be able to choose the maps we go to instead of random drops... MW has it's limits on how much immersion it can offer, i'm really hoping the faction tab will at least give us 12v10 IS vs clans leaving the public queue to it's 10ton clan exception anything goes stuff. maybe mercs could travel the IS and you will be able to choose where you fight... yeah wishfull thinking. but why should one runt of a mech that does no harm to nobody be rejected so harshly? really why would urbie be out of place in the anything goes public queue? why would urbie be out of place in the private matches where you can choose to town fight? is it appropriate opinion to say no you can't have something even though it fits right into the game parameters? 3 varients and hero in timeline, mods to make it playable {only the engine needs work} how is it not appropriate? stock? how many stocks are appropriate for this game? how is urbie bad for MWO!?

plz argue harder.

But... but... but I love my 'mando. :D

Nothing against the Commando - I've saw some great pilots in them; same as the Locust, Spider, and, well, ALL the other lights, that I can't survive 10 seconds in. The Urbanmech will be relatively the exact same as all of these other lights, but just look like a dumpster.

I bet that now everybody begs for the Urbanmech. When they build him they will sell 0. Ok 1 or 2......He will be like Will Smith in the movie.

He got a point.

You don't.

His point is just as idiotic as anyone dumb enough to step onto the field in that trash can. There would be no challenge in destroying you instantly. Might as well have 1 less person in the company. ANY other mech would be more desirable and worthy, wasting time on Battletech's trashcan would be a slap in the face when so many better options exist. Handicapping your team because you think its a challenge is a fools errand, there is no challenge destroying the slowest mech in the game that also has light mech armor. Anyone that says they want that are obviously trolls.

Guys, check it out! They may not have given us a golden urbie, but they did update the cockpit item!

They should of made a new one instead of changing the new years one, would of made a butt ton of money.

My gods, you're right! We should all drive Shadowhawks and Jaggermechs all the time, always. How could I have been so blind? All those times I killed enemies in an ac/20 raven or locust I was actually. . .
hurting my team!

Why do you hate fun?

I shall only play poptarting Victors FOEVAH. Or, you know, my weird builds on relatively unpopular mechs (CICADA!) that I like to run that I somehow still do well in...

Played a few drops in NBT as a Merc unit where we loaded up a few dropships with all our leftover 'Mechs and dropped them on a few units we wanted to play against but didn't have any reason to go fight them. 7 Urbies and a Strider and a very drunk Viking in charge led to 3 out of 5 wins. Ok we had a little more variety of weapons in MW4 (Long Tom Urbie!), but don't underestimate the mighty Trashcan.

Well Shadowhawks, Ravens, Jaggermechs, and Victors are great chassis but we are talking about adding new chassis to the mix so please do try to keep up.

Using a light mech for a task better suited for a larger mech is a brilliant idea.

I could not agree more with this entirely sincere statement. Actually I find large 'Mechs to be too conspicuous. Ever tried hiding behind a hill in a centurion? You need like, two hills.

I imagine the reason you're arguing so vehemently against the Urbie is because you some other 'Mech you'd rather have implemented? Something. . . specific?

We're excited to announce the UrbanMech UM-R60! This little guy packs quite the little punch with 1 AC/10 and 1 Small Laser for popping off those Mechs you know are hiding in an urban area. With a top speed of 32.4 kph, you won't be expected to chase down those pesky Jenners. Finally!

The UrbanMech UM-R60 will be available from April 1st with a Premium Skin. This unique Mech is available to only the most loyal MechWarriors, including 2 variants and the additional Hero variant.

This wasn't an April Fool's joke. This was a straight punch to the family jewels. I really DO want my bouncing baby dakka can of robot love. Making it the 4/1 post was....disappointing.

oh look another [person] who doesn't understand MWO's customising system. nobody uses stock, that's obvious, so why do people believe urban mechs will be slowest on the field? now clan lights such as the adder and uller will have FIXED engines and on speed tweak will barely get over 100 wheras an urban mech jock will undoubtedly throw that std 60 out and throw in something bigger something that will deliver at least over 130kph.

now if you want to condem slow mechs as foolish and handicapping teams complain to the devs about CLAN lights! not urban mechs!

Sarcasm alert! And I already said anything would be better than Trashcan, that's the very last mech I want to see implemented.
