The urban mech would work well as a light mech defense for bigger, slower mechs:
1. Even with an updated engine it wont be super fast (think 80-ish), and cant run away - would have to stick close to Atlas!
2. As it trudges along after the Atlas, it can use those JJ's to pop tart over the Atlas - surprise!!!
3. With a 360' degree torso rotate, it could easily track any light and then deliver something like an AC20 hit :)
4. If PGI does the size right, it should be shorter than a commando (but *ahem* big boned), thus a small target.

In short, the Urbie should be in the game and hang out with its big buddy the Atlas!

Give the Urbie 360 twist, ECM (because why not) and good module space. It can make a niche for itself. Also allow all urbie games.(because that is the natural order of things)

Along with some good maneuverability to counteract it's horrible speed, and you've got a different mech that some of would want to play. I've not spent any money on this game for about 6 months or so now, but if you put an urbie in, I'll buy 3. with cash.

It's not a glass cannon; it's a Class Cannon.

You know what would have been a funnier announcement?

Flea arrives on the battlefield!

Bahhhahahahahaha, you know, since it was announced like, AGES ago?

So, when can I buy urbanmech, I want bishop steiner's police one. SO COOL, needs to have flashing lights and a siren in it. Would drop $$$$$$$$$$ for that.

Isn't the Clan "Warhorn" a sound effect thingy? Siren for the Police Urbie would be perfectly reasonable.

The Urbanmech should not be on the field with a bunch of open-terrain, mobile, direct warfare 'mechs. It's a total immersion-breaking joke, not to mention a severe balance mismatch and a crutch to a team, and PGI would get crucified if they tried it.

So did your think having big font would some how give you the final word or just make you look silly.

Simple, don't like it don't buy it.

don't want it in your team, make a private match with new up and coming..lobby part deux.

Its a specialised mech, which would be very powerful in WMO in urban zones, if it were not for the dumb open custom system PGi threw at us, it also makes the Panther pointless but I want that as well.

Except nobody really cares about the Flea. It's a standin for the Locust. It won't do anything different.

The Urbie on the other hand...

Is a well loved loser, and for the whiners that can only imagine getting a mech if it's competitive, and don't think of playing a game for fun, but have to win,,,your W/L and KDR will probably go up, so you'll be more respected by your bros.

Stop calling me nobody! -_-

The Flea can do something the Locust cannot: Have three energy-heavy (and therefore viable) variants. 4 energy hardpoints, 4 energy + 2 ballistic, 5 energy respectively for the three variants.

Not calling you nobody, just the Flea isn't going to be much different in terms of performance than the other fast lights IMO. A few different hardpoints don't give it that much character IMO. You are of course allowed to like whatever you want.

I've never been much for the Flea, It always seemed like a standin for the Locust after it became an Unseen.

I really want one too, I have a lance of them in BT table top and they can kick butt if used right, I have then as an escort for the CO who is in an Archer. back up is the rest of the command lance which has a King crab, a Grizzly, and a bombardier. I even PM the MWO folks and told them I could not find it in the store, LOL. I do REALLY want one.

They are reserved for PGI's April fools joke next year.

I care, [kind of]. I disagree with the last two sentences. It depends. I'm betting anything MASC will use a MASC slot like ECM, meaning very few mechs will be able to use it, eg. the flea. The flea, in my imagination anyway, will be the fastest mech around [even if only in bursts], and hopefully not use the same model base as the locust, so it may actually be smaller [doubt this part severely; PGI likes to use existing resources it seems]. At any rate, my point was not "Let's have the flea instead of urbanmech". I want BOTH!!!! XD

Especially since the Flea started it's life as a 15 ton mech.
