K-9 will be the 11th urbie that I own (i'm too lazy to keep switching builds so obviously the best solution is to buy a new urbie for each one). though I don't have a 4 flamer urbie yet...hmmm, 4 flamers 2 MGs...

I need a dekkel that says "My other mech is an Urbie!" And then put this on all my UrbanMechs...

Not to mention there are still a whole bunch of unreleased Urbanmech variants . . . which unless the Arrow IV gets released, this thread will eternally have a reason to go on; because we should be able to have an Urbanmech tactical nuke launcher.

so looks like our urbie friends have gotten a bit of an increase to it's quirks in this next patch. also K-9 police badge decal.

Have they?

They have had those Quirks since the Skill Teee. K9 appears right in line with a blend of the 60s Armor with the 63s Weapons quirks.

From the patch notes:
• UM-R60L and UM-R63 have received increases to their existing Armor Bonus Quirks to match the values already present on the UM-R60.

In recognition of of the arrival of Deputy Dawg K9 on the battlefield, PGI has seen fit to build an entire event around this!

Okay okay so maybe a couple of other mechs dropped too.

BUT URBIES ARE ON SALE! LIKE A MILLION CBILLS EACH!

If you want to join the Cult of the Urbanmech this is a great time to do it!

1) Create an alt account with a name starting with "Urban" or "Urbie"
2) Do the Academy achievements, you should now have more than enough to buy at least one Urbie and equip it well.
3) Do all 25 cadet matches with your free day of Premium time. You should now be able to kit out 3 urbies with change to spare!
4) Leftover cbills? Buy a Mauler (I recommend 1P or MX90 for Quad LB10X) while still on sale! (FYI Maulers are Urbanmechs that experimented with mech-steroids)

Now you have an FP drop deck!

At some point during the process, PM me and I'll induct you into the CotU!

Our hope is to drop full 12 man groups in FP and teach those filthy clanners to fear the Urbie! (36 of our 48 mechs will be Urbies!)

No one expects you to put money into this account, though PGI would appreciate it, consider the K9... they are fun little mechs!
