Just a suggestion that PGI might consider....

How about creating a STOCK MECH'S ONLY option in the mech bay. Think of it as a sort of HARDCORE option ala Call of Duty. Maybe allow a bit of customization, but don't allow ANY boats of ANY kind. Each mech can only have so big a percentage of weapons in any range class (unless they come that way stock). Meaning no AC20 boats, no LRM boats, etc. People can enter a game and be confident they are playing with/against balanced mechs.

I know I would love this option, and I'd bet many of you would as well. It would also bring the game back to its roots a bit.

What do YOU think? Would you be interested in having a "Hardcore" option to choose?
