Hi there,

not really new Player here ... but i hope to find an answer nonetheless.

Remember this fancy progress tracking page for the state of the development? "They" published it months ago when the mood was quite low ... i think it was before Phoenix-Mechs were released which gave us new toys and made us (edit: brag) nag less.

Anyways ... i would like to ask if someone could provide me some search phrase to find the thread mentioning it here in the forums or if someone has stored it ... an URL to the page?

I kind of naively have the hope that the page is still maintained ... let alone remembered! \o/

have a nice fight!

You mean this page:
http://www.mwomercs.com/theplan

They also seem to update it as it is showing UI 2.0 being 100% done.

It's updated a few days after the first patch of the month, as Bryan said to me a while ago.

A pro tip:

Don't get excited. If you are not excited, you can't be disappointed.

Ah, the famous low bar technique. If your bar is rock bottom, anything that comes out can't go below it. A wise and ancient style.

And yet, I think even with that some would still be disappointed.

Au contraire monsieur! ... sadly i can definitely be quite disappointed despite having been excited beforehand.

But compare the MUCH (err, how you call dis-disappointment?! ... ah, google is my friend:) SATISFACTION experienced after the the excitements reason comes true, to the mild expression felt when something positive happens which i dared not to get excited about!

I prefer excitement any day, Monsieur! But i have to concede a point to you ... my excitement about all the supposedly already (timewise) implemented features (the communication supergau several month ago) really did further my disappointment.

ShwiiIinngGg! ... Fight on, Wayne!

When I saw it said that UI 2 was 100% I think I tasted vomit in my mouth (just a little). Anything else I would say would probably get me banned, so from the company's point of view I guess the community manger is doing a great job? I am of a different opinion and since this is their company it's their rules ( I am a firm believer in that).. I'll keep it to my self and redit. I am still holding out hope that honesty will win out in the end. Time will tell.

It's not really gonna be 100%, but it's pretty finished as a first start, but will be adding on more stuff later (aka smurfy layout), hence the 'first player experience category' stated. (5% but better than nothing.)

100% means it's deployed. Not fully perfect and bug free.

actually this depends on their "definition of done" ... scrum-lingo-wise. nevertheless you propably are correct.

Well they did publicly mention that UI 2.0 is launched, and mostly done, but it still needs tweaks and is a work in progress. They confirmed that much, as such it is safe to assume that 100% means deployed, not fully complete.

UI 2.0 is technically complete, but I'm guessing the 'new player experience' component will be basically heavy modification on the UI to fit newer players into slowly learning the general idea of the game.

Well we are using UI2.0 so I believe that is what is meant by "done." Fortuneately, they designed it to be much easier to change that the old UI.

Im all for this view of life. Its much better to live as a pessimist.... If you happen to be wrong as a pessimist you can still be happy about it :o .

Actually, UI 2,0 is 100% finished and implemented. The rest is just cosmetic changes to the skin ontop of the UI 2,0 to make it more user friendly.
