I always found the pilot's lounge to be distracting and it made doing things take longer.

I'd be scared if the shop wasn't suspicious, the black market is the mercs best friend after all. Buying stuff from factories, yeah right.

But the DropShips situation scares me too, keep hearing Gayane's Adagio as I seemingly tinker solo with my 'Mechs in an empty ship.

Sometimes its the devil in the details that kill you!
A Capellan should not be running around in a House Steiner build-S.
As a Lyran I should not be sporting -K Model... Unless I am on the Kurita boarder.
House Marik is capitalist central and will sell its Captain-General to make a C-Bill.

But you get the point.

I personally don't have a -M, -L or -K Mech in my dropship... Cause they are not available to my House at this time.

I'm part of the FedCom, chief. We've kicked more than enough Marik, Liao and Kuritan butt to have their toys,

The real question, usually, is why would I want them? :)

The delicious smell of bacon that lingers in Marik mechs?

That's how we get you.

House Marik knows you have many choices in your space bacon, and we thank you for choosing ours.

Yea but what about immersion? Thats what everyone wants right? imagine browsing merc contracts or scanning some kind of overview of whats happening with the fight for the inner sphere and the invasion of the test tube freaks with maps and graphs and cake and and and.....brain sploded

Get me a mech technician! Now, soldier! I want this scrap heap refitted and ready to melt Davions before the Major finishes his coffee!

At this point of the timeline I would think a DCMS pilot like you should have other worries then melting our FedCom brothers and sisters :)
And better not let the Sho-Sa hear that you called him a "Major" or you might face the Smoke Jaguars without a mech ;)

Would be cool if we had an avatar that could walk around the mechbay. You could walk upto a console and check out mech loadouts and such.

*edit*
Something simular to EVE's pilot lounge

So, something like the Hangar module in Star Citizen?

Sure, I would love that stuff. But I don't want to have to walk my little green jumpsuit over to three different monitors to see it. :D

At this point I thought it was Kurita, Liao, and Marik against Steiner and Davion. Is that wrong?

Really must read my way through at least Heir to the Dragon...

Well, if the timeline hadn't been abandoned, at around this time the Smoke Jaguars should be melting Luthien.

Exactly - they haven't arrived yet. Luthien invasion got delayed by unfinished polygons and weapon balancing. :-)
