One of my complaints is that jumping targets especially when rubbing up against object, or close to corners, don't register damage correctly.

'Mechs NEVER take damage from collisions, except in two instances:
1. Collision with the ground after a jump/fall.
2. Collision with another 'Mech.
Even when colliisons were in the game, we didn't take damage from collisions with buildings.

PERHAPS you mis-understood. SHOOTING AT MECH WHILE THEY ARE JUMPING AND RUBBING STUFF, THE DAMAGE THEY RECEIVE IS DE-SYNC
