I've been running my Banshee 3S with 3 ppcs and a gauss. Long story short, Gauss hits register correctly, but the PPCs register as complete misses more than half the time. Am I the only one experiencing this? My ping is 96, solid. This is also happening with stationary mechs as targets.

PPCs have a much slower projectile velocity than Gauss, so you have to lead the target more. But also in general hit detection in this game can be weird.
Also be aware of the 90 meter minimum range for standard PPC, zero damage inside 90 meters.

SRMs feel your pain.
But all weapons have spotty hitreg at times. Slow projectiles are certainly worse, since the AC20 nerf netted more duds than pre-nerf. It also correlates with SRMs and NARC, since they are some of the slowest things, with rather poor hitreg.

PPCs and any projectile weapon that has a velocity of less than 1000m/s will suffer horribly from hit registry. Part of PGI's hidden way of adding in dice rolls to the game.
