It would be of significant benefit to have global chat channels in game that are always on except after match launch. I think this could be modeled after the chat in LOTRO or other MMOs where users can create tabs for various channels that they are interested in and delete the channels they have no interest in. There is also the ability for users to create their own custom channels in the game.

These Global Channels may include channel designations such as the following:

-Recruiting
-Looking for group 2-4 Man
-Looking for group 12 Man
-House, Clan, and Merc Channels
-Conquest, Assault, and Skirmish
-FAQ/Help

I think adding global chat like this would greatly improve communication between all members of the MWO community to the benefit of all.
