What if the april 14th mech really is the urban mech? Any speculations?

I think PGI would generate a LOT of goodwill if they implemented the urbanmech.

I'm honestly not sure why they haven't yet done so. I mean people who are going to buy for it know exactly what they're getting: a joke

But jokes sell well. Just look at goat simulator.

Probably not going to be a mech in April. They're putting a lot of time into making clan mechs, weapons, and their customization visuals. And that is a good thing.

But if a new chassis shows up the next patch tuesday I would be very pleasantly surprised

They really wouldn't. WIth all the actual work that desperately needs to be done on this game, wasting time, manpower and effort on a worthless mech what really has no right to be in the game anyway would be insulting at best.

New around here eh?

I can assure you that the Urbanmech is far from worthless, and has more right to be in the game than some of the chassis already introduced.

Fine, perhaps "right" was the wrong word. However in the game as it stands and in the original the idea of role warfare, a slow, poorly armed 30 ton mech is most certainly worthless and a complete liability for whatever team it is on. And now with 3/3/3/3 being implemented, it would take up a spot that could otherwise be anything else and be more useful. Even a Locust.

Don t underestimate the Urbanmech in an Urban area. He can walk in and out of garages. He can bee easy overseen.....and propably an Atlas slipes over him and breaks his neck..:D

the Herbie of the MechWarrior world has faults as much as any other `Mech in the game.

Pros: firepower, well, sort of. AC/10 and Small Laser.

Cons: Slower than molasses maple syrup. Slow and steady does win the race, It can be a help or a hindrance. Depends on the situation and play ability of the person who owns it.

If they add the Urbie Herbie, then that means the Urban `Mech IIC is not far off.

it's 15th of april actually.

I do love the idea of having fun with Urbie, but wanna be realistic. I suppose it's gonna be a heavy mech. At least I hope to see a real brawling competitor to Clan mechs in heavy weight category.

Is there a new chassis confirmed for this month? I thought it was a hero Quickdraw next, or is that for May? I would like a new 'mech this month though and I wouldn't mind the Urbanmech since it would be nice to see another TRO 3025 chassis added.

The spider was a death trap when it was introduced. At one time you could actually hit it.

I'm ambivalent about the urbie, and while it's true that in the right hands and right terrain it can be deadly, it's also true that we cant' tell where we're dropping, so you'll probably end up on maps like alpine most of the time. Until we know, and have more urban settings with cover you can crawl into or under, the urbie will be a tough sell on the battlefield.

Plus the urbie would come with at least 2-3 Ballistic hardpoints and 2-3 laser hardpoints. Add in Endo and FF and you can cram a lot of stuff into it. Plus JJs! With a 360° blazing fast torso twist I would really like to pilot it. its basically a jumping, well-armored turret.

Despite the joke mentality, good players who used the UrbanMech in MW4 wiped that smug smile off people's faces when they rolled over them with UrbanMechs, especially on MW4's dense urban maps.

might be better if they gave it more than like 3 hardpoints. a 20 ton mech really needs the help
