Oh, another LRM post. Didnt read all the replies, but he died in what use to be what he though was his "Meta" build and came here to QQ.

Sure some ppl here have given him some fine advice on what to and not to do against LRM's.

what it has to do with camping?? Lrms have forced players in pug matches to sit back all the time...and even sit behind their turrets when required. the number of lrm boats have incerased alarmingly so if you are not in a fast mech (i have started playing lights just for this reason) you should sit behind cover..the moment you come out to even move from cover to cover and you get spotted, kaboom lrm rain...

so basically you have no idea what people are talking about in the thread, no idea what the whole point is and yet you come here to post without reading...nice going


i wouls suggest a simple solution...make the maps bigger so its not like 5 seconds in the game and people are positioned to hit each other..make the combat zones bigger please

You shouldn't move from cover to cover in view of the enemy unless it's a really short distance, like between 2 buildings. It's something it took me a long time to learn. If possible, back away for a couple hundred meters, locate a path that covers you the entire way towards your intended destination, and then move toward the next piece of cover you wanted to use. You make a kind of "U" shaped maneuver. Yeah, the shortest-distance between two points is a straight line, but that doesn't mean you should use it.

You do know that the first thing I learned in Marine Bootcamp is how to get the heck out of enemy fire... well actually it was that a Shirt is a Blouse, a Hat is a cover, and 30% of recruits do not know left from right the first week of training! But if you are not taking cover when being fired on... you are the first to die.

Sure nobody likes having to take cover, but your enemy IS trying to kill your toon, do you expect them to do it the way YOU want?

I know what the OP is talking about, and the rest, I need not read every post to see its the same that is said in every other LRM thread.

People cry about them, QQ, then we say "Use cover", "ECM", "AMS". But you continue to whine that cover is hard to use and threads start to arise about how TAG is OP. Its an never ending cycle with people wanting things nerfed into the ground because they fail to adapt or simply cant adjust. "Mommy, PGI broke my play style!"

I hardly ever see LRMs, after the first weekend with them on the field. Everyone's gone right back to PPCs and ACs with the odd exception here and there.

Man....why do I keep reading these useless threads? I think I have a sickness, maybe a fetish.....for terrible threads that only complain about how the game is not addressing THEIR needs and their idea of what is good game play.

I wonder if there is a 12 step program for this? If so, at least I have finished step one....admitting I have a problem....
