I think that it would be a good thing, since we are already paying money, to unlock all the colors AND the skins of hero mechs for non-hero variants.

I really enjoy the Illy and Huginn skins and want to be able to use them on the other variants of the mechs. I can only go on what I do, but I typically use the designation to determine what a mech is, not the paint job... and while there are some that are very distinctive, such as Pretty Baby, the IM, Jester, and Misery, I don't think that it would have any real impact if you allow those skins to be used on other mechs of the same type.. and would be a nice bonus to those who've put the cash out for those mechs.
