It's probably too long to post here, so here it is: http://raksarmory.bl...s-and-guns.html

It only took 3 days of writing and 12 days of mostly Banshees, but the review is finally done. I'm sure most of you don't need a review, but it should still make a fun read and maybe a good reference for beginners. I'm trying to make these blocks of texts more entertaining to read, so any feedback about how I can improve is welcome.

I hope you enjoyed it. The Banshee, despite disappointing me at first sight and being a quite punishing mech to play, has became one of my favourites as I played more with them.

Here is a build out that was not listed, but works well IMHO...

BNC-3E: Mauler
STD 315 (53.7 / 59.1 KPH)
51.2 Alpha Strike @ 35% Cooling Efficiency (16 double heat sinks)
528 out of 586 armor

AC/20 w 4 tons ammo
Large Pulse Lasers x2
PPC x1

Here is a BNC-3S build that works for me

61 KPH with tweak
AC/20 with 4 tons ammo
2x PPC
5x ML (could go to 6 by dropping a ton of AC/20 ammo or a heatsink, not armour because 0 slots left. i prefer slightly better heat and a dedicated shield arm)
16 DHS
almost max armour

its HOT, but crazy 65 no spread alpha at midrange. i don't consider 1 missile port to be worth anything at all (especially when it makes you an easier target)

Seems like a waste of the 3E chassis, since you could do the exact same build on the 3S..

The 4ac2 build was left out. yes you can run a xl with 4 ballistic hardpoints.

Very nice review... More please.

That Liao group could learn a thing or two about how to format a functional review without pandering to ones narcissistic biases.

Kudos and 103+ likes.

Nicely done, aside from the fallacy of not out-brawling an Atlas. An XL La Malinche, properly twisting soaks and spreads damage in ways that no Atlas ever conceived will. It is so good in fact, at it, that they nerfed it's hard points into oblivion to balance it (and removed the original planned JJs). Even with such limited hardpoints and eschewing the head laser (because it just looks too stupid on La Malinche) I will out brawl (though not alpha) an Atlas 9 times out of 10.

The rest of the CBill versions, of course, while possessing great hitboxes, are much more agility gimped, and I agree are far better at a Stalker like support role.

But Atlases have been getting out brawled by better pilots since the Heavy Metal came out (1v1, equal skill, brawling, I will take a Victor, Battlemaster, Highlander or La Malinche over an Atlas, any day of the week!)

Indeed, ths is one of my favorites aswell, but I recently changed to 3 AC2s and 1 UAC5, for a cool down weapon group.

i found best dps to heat balance was the simple 2x ac5/2x ac2. when the 2s finally drive the heat too high, the chainfired ac5s fill the gap nicely.

Been using that combo as my ghetto Jagermech since the Cataphract-4X was released.
