Note that you need 3 variants in a weight class (e.g. any 3 heavy mechs) unlocked to Elite in order to gain access to the Master level. If this is your first heavy mech, it may be sensible to Elite 3 variants before selling.

In general, selling mechs (unless you absolutely DESPISE them, or desperately need mechbays) isn't a great idea.

The loss of C-Bills and effort (you get so little back), that I'm happy to buy the mech bays.
I don't mind the 90p a bay, and I'm confortable paying that for the ammount of time I'll be spending with each mech.

Pretty sure a mechbay is about 6 Dollars U.S. If I recall Correctly.

The lowest denomination of buying MC (1,250) costs $6.95. That's 180 MC per $1.
If mechbays are 300 MC, that makes them, at MOST, $1.66.
If you bought the LARGEST, most efficient MC package (25,000) it'd cost you $99.95. That averages out to 250 MC per $1. So, at its very cheapest, a mechbay would cost you $1.20.
Math. It helps.

No, not really. When we consider that the more you get the cheaper everything gets on the dollar...
If you pay for the smallest package, 300 out of this ration comes out to 1,250 = $6.95 USD
1250 : $6.95 = 300 : $1.67
Mid-case scenario 6,500 = $29.95 USD
6500 : $29.95 = 300 : $1.38
And best case scenario 25,000 = $99.95 USD
25000 : $99.95 = 300 : $1.20
Though if I'm not mistaken the amount has changed to 285 or something like that for a mechbay.
(I rounded decimals up or down, and it was usually up.)

But back on topic. If you have room in your mechbay, I highly recommend keeping the Jagermechs until you have brought them all through their elites. Then when you've had time to play them all and try out different builds, consider which one you really liked. Keep that one (or more) and then sell the rest to make room for your next venture.
You're welcome.

They are still 300MC each.
I go based off the 3000MC package (as when I've bought, it's that, and it's just easiest for me to work from that)
But it's:
MC--------£----------MC/£------Mechbay
1,250-----£4.18----£0.0033---£1.00 ($1.68)
3,000-----£9.00----£0.0030---£0.90 ($1.51)
6,500-----£18.03---£0.0028---£0.83 ($1.39)
12,000---£30.06---£0.0025---£0.75 ($1.26)
25,000---£60.15---£0.0024---£0.72 ($1.21)
So with your basic 4 Mech Bays, if not selling anything (and buying 3000MC packs, adjust accordingly otherwise):
The first set (3) is free.
The second set is £1.80 ($3).
The third and every additional set is £2.70 ($4.50)
So, wanting 18 sets of mechs, it'll cost me £45 if I get them all (over the next year or two).
Though I don't mind this, as it's basically the cost of a regular game, but spread over a long time.

4 came with founder's package.
12 came with phoenix package.
2 came with "challenges."
4 came free when I started (the starting mechbays).
So that's 22 not bought with MC.
So I got 80 mechbays.
o.O;
...and....81 mechbays. *Just snagged another.*
Still don't have enough!

Thanks for the math. I don't remember why I thought it's 6 bucks per mechbay.

With the smallest buy-in at $6.95, I've basically thought of it as 4 mechbays for $6. Shrug. No worries...but always good to get new players the facts
