Goddamn... kill someone for a typo LOL! Sorry... My previous CPU was the Intel Core i3-2100 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz... not the 2500K which is the i5 chip series. My bad dude... but even still, significant jump in FPS from upgrading the CPU and keeping the current GPU. Only reason I mentioned the 2500k was it being stuck in my head from a previous conversation with a unit member of mine. Old post with specs

Confusing the i3 2100 with the i5 2500k is a major typo. When giving advise, you really need to make sure you are giving the most accurate information possible. That post could have wasted $300 of someone's hard earned money, had it convinced someone that upgrading from a 2500k to a 3770k would actually net them any advantage in playing MWO.

Of course you are going to see a jump in performance in MWO going from a i3 to a i5 or i7. MWO does not like dual cores, hyper-threading or not(though hyper-threading does make i3 viable for playing MWO).
