A pack of six new variants for Project Phoenix 'Mechs. Plus some bug fixes and such.

The big patch is the 29th.

Yessss. More excited about private matches, less about the "weight balance."

Why not just make it so the sum of the team's weight can't exceed 1200, and the weight difference of the two teams should be no different than n (i.e n=80 tons).

Not trying to start a fight, just my idea ;)

Cause every match would be 12 v 12 assaults?

No, cause not everyone would launch with an assault. Besides, it'd still be balanced.

I guess you could lower the weight threshold if it was that important that there be no 12 assault mech matches.

It's an issue when one team has 10 assaults and the other has 3.

just so i can be clear, what's the deal when 3/3/3/3 comes out?

i only run assault so... i'll have to wait 10 minutes to find a match every time?

I suppose it depends on how many other people demand to run just assaults at a particular time.

Possibly. Maybe, even longer.

The q time in MMORPGs for DPS is about 15 minutes. Because, they vastly outnumber the others. I don't see where this could be any differant. Unless, there are a lot less people that want to run Assault Mechs, after.

Probably closer to 20. Better find a lance to drop with so MM builds around you. I expect to see a lot of 3 assault/1 Heavy premade lances that are "trying to keep the firepower out of the hands of the pugs".

3 assaults is just about the right ammount, more can break the game easily. The more people learn to play other weight classes, the better. Plus, it is not like you can't equip a heavy Mech to be like an assault anyway.

i Could care less if the enemy team has like 8 assaults to my three what i can't stand is when the enemy team has like six lights on it. at least when i hit an assault it registers and they die. if you ask me best decision they have ever made.
