I got some foam pads from the dollar store I plan to use to reduce vibration, I was also thinking of using twist ties to secure odd things. What do you people use to support/ tie down, stuff that was never meant to be used the way your using it?

i had my hdd´s mounted onto some cheap sponges in my old pc and it got rid of the vibrations / noise. worked really well - just be sure to not cover too much so of them so there´s still enough free surface area to dissipate the heat.

Shortly after you have to go to the ER to have them surgically removed because they were shoved into your ear.

In reply to the topic, I really don't do anything. Noise cancelling headphones and your good to go, to hell with everyone else within audible distance of your machine.

my case is laced (trained as a wireman when I left school), and if it'll take a rubber bush to take up the vibration I've fitted one. Other than that I put shake-proof washes on everything, and tighten them up properly. The only screws I don't have as tight as possible are my case screws, and they are just thumbscrews. Still have shake-proof washers on though. I hate too much noise. The loudest thing in my case is the fan on the 6850OC.

Replace the busted nocta fan on my H100 it the most loud thing in the case (guess it was a bad unit) Still going to be a paint to replace that thing hence I been postponing it.

I have seen elastic bungie type cords used to suspend hard drives. Seen the rubber grommets and rubber surgical hose used before as well. Camping pad did the trick for someone I knew, some contact cement and that did their case some wonder...a bit some bright blue interior. Then again, no window on the case, just for the sound....who cares. Egg create foam maybe?
