Can you make the commando better somehow like you did the locust by reducing its hit box? I'll take anything.

The only thing that will improve the commando is tonnage based match making.
That and dropping the extra out of engine heatsink requirements for engines under 250 tonnes.

Commando is already a monster. An absolute monster.

Its hitboxes aren't larger than the model, at least IIRC, so reducing them would make them smaller than the model...which would be silly. Here are some better options:
1. Some actual Role Warfare so that there isn't as much of an arm's race to get mechs over 60 tons on your team.

2. Modify all sub-250 engines to contain their 10 base sinks INSIDE the engine rather than having to place some externally. This both frees up a lot of critical slots and improves heat dissipation (due to external sinks being only 1.4). Note that engine weights would be increased to account for the base 10 sinks being inside of them (right now they are reduced so that you get their full tonnage from placing the remaining base sinks you need).

There are mechs that are still due a pass on hitboxes for the pelvis tweak and so on, so with Commandos I guess reducing the front CT slightly might help some, with a small increase to the front Side Torsos (and reducing the rear CT from increasing the leg hit boxes on the pelvis too), but the question is how much could be changed to benefit them? So maybe just those minor tweaks could be enough to help, so that the front Side Torsos could take a tad more punishment from the front CT in regards to hitboxes.
Personally, I feel that setting up the armor as 20, 20, 20 Front and 4, 12, 4 Rear works well enough right now, so there's not much more I could to see to change the hitboxes after the pelvis tweak.
Here's a visual of current hitboxes
So another change that can help (and not only improve Commandos) is to allow the first 10 DHS no matter where they are to be truly doubles for all mechs.
After that removing the current Mech Tree Efficiencies until its replaced with a better system can actually be a benefit, since these light mechs are already highly responsive without them as they currently are, and once fully Elited can get tricky at times to maintain under control in the heat of battle, needing to tune down mouse sensitivity and so on to handle them better.
