Can we please get the Binary Laser for Inner Sphere? Gives them a weapon the clanners don't have. It would be a hot-running, mid to brawling range weapon.
Burn duration and cooldown match LLAS, 12 damage, 15 heat.
Beam colour = Indigo-violet, with subtle flicker.
Firing sound = Deeper hum than LLAS, with distinct electrical buzz.
If individual lasers get unique meshes, I'd suggest the rear half double wide, with the two halves merging into standard width LLAS front end.

The Large Laser got more damage and less heat than TT, so the Blazer should follow a similar pattern at the very least.
TT LL: 8 damage, 8 heat
MWO LL: 9 damage, 7 heat
TT Blazer: 12 damage, 16 heat
MWO Blazer: ~14 damage, ~14 heat
Personally I might actually nudge the heat down slightly more than that, and potentially increase range to help make the tonnage investment more worth it.

Nobody would use it. Two large lasers converge at the same point for more damage at the cost of only one more ton.

I'm all for anything that can give us more options, and I can see saving a ton on some laser heavy builds being very useful.

except some mechs may have only 1 energy slot aviable
but yea any other mech that has the ability to carry more energy weapons would carry multiple LLs instead of single blazer

This is a very good idea for mechs who don't have a lot of energy Hardpoints (in fact i'm thinking about the left arm of the Dragon Slayer for example).
Great idea guys!!
After the release of Clan Technology, they are going to inject other IS weapons i hope...

In TT you could assign special quirks to Mechs when mounting stuff like this.
Canonically, certain canon stock variants came with certain quirks by default, like the prototype ZEU-6Y Zeus variant that had an "Improved Cooling Jacket" for the Binary Laser. It reduced 1 point of heat, making it just slightly more efficient than simply using two TT Large Lasers.
As a side note, it would be way better if PGI actually used the canon to assign actual "quirks" to mount or being given to certain Mechs per canon.

What I'd like to see is a 'periphery variants' pack that would provide weaker designs that include:
- mech mortars
- primitive rocket launchers

I don't see any information of this weapon (blaze) becoming more then Experimental.
If we allow experimental weapons, then we are going to find the Blue Shield Generator in the game.
No one wants to see a Mech Warrior like that.
