I just love chicken legs, I cant stand humanoid mechs, I have some and I just hate every single one of them.

So yeah, BT vets, is there any hope?

OMG! My Clan mates (yes I am a clanner) always make fun of me because I refuse to pilot anything but reverse legs mechs. I LITERALLY DO NOT OWN ONE HUMANOID MECH.
Luckily I get tons of chickens to play with when clan mechs hit!

BTW, can we be friends?

Well, i PGI notices operation Cancer, we would get us some Crabs.
Or King Crabs if there is a clanbuster pack.

No Marauder's due to Herpaderp Gold. Infact, is there any good Marauder stand-in's within the heavy weight class?

The phract was supposed to be the successor to the maurader in BT lore, so maybe that? Dunno Hollow.

Well, something that looks more like a Marauder with a sleek body. because the Cataphract is some kind of half-chicken humanoid Frankemech. but i guess it's kinda close.

There are not that many chicken walkers in the correct timeline. Maybe something from 3055, but we would need to see that artwork re-done quite a lot. Not many of those were drawn well at the beginning of BattleTech.

For 3050, well the only heavy that is a chickenwalker is the Champion, but if you get a good artist like a guy named Eriance to re-work it, it is acceptable.

Compare the old and the new look of the Champion.

IIRC, the Champion was also a bit on the rare side. Then again, so was the Highlander. The main issue with the mech is that for MWO purposes it is shy on variants.

problem is the Champion doesn't have arms or chicken legs, so it basically resembles the Champion only in that it has a space shuttle cockpit. No dice. Mech still needs to be the mech.

One has a few options in timeline, but very few. And most have humanoid upper torsos.
Mongoose, Hussar (according to the 3039 TRO), Crab, Flashman, Thug and King Crab.

Would make a nice "Mechs of 2750" (That Comstar THOUGHT represented the peak of the SLDF..and was wrong!) pack.

I like all the iterations of the Champion I've seen. Didn't it have human legs in MW3?

Could of sworn the Stalker was a man-walker in 4. So they may just end up reversing the legs if they give us another pod-body mech.

IE: Imagine an Annihilator with bird legs...

I can't wait for the Champion! 340xl - 101 kph, AC20 with 5 tons ammo, 1 x Large Pulse Laser. If it has torso twist similar to the Cat . . . ;)

Although, less airplane with legs:

Was the Champion supposed to be an LAM at some point, and the designer changed their mind?

I would love to see the Thug in game, but all the variants have basicly the same hard point layout. I guess PGI could have the THG-11E and then two hero mechs with different layouts. Make it a part of a Comstar pack.

There aren't any cannon variants like this, but they could do a one with a ballistic hardpoint in each arm and one with two energy in each arm. This is all just wishful thinking on my part. I don't think we will see any new unannounced mechs before fall.

While I like the Firefly, the problem is that it's sub-par at best. Using the conventional max engine formula for lights, the 'Fly tops out at 113.4 kph (124.7 kph with speed tweak). Also, it's 30 tons, which is a less optimal weight for building lights than 35 tons (35 tons is THE best tonnage for light mechs, without exception).

We also have no guarentee of PGI giving us the ECM variant, especially seeing how PGI hasn't given us any new ECM mechs ever since the item was added to the game. We might not EVER get another ECM mech, sadly. :o
