This is a List of things i observed that IMHO just Need a Little fix:

First and foremost (and not so easy to fix):
  • ELO
Elo is determined by Win/Lose. This is fine basically, because if you win more Matches than you lose, then you get into a higher ELO.Sounds fine and PGI doesn't seem to bother about changing ELO.




Problem is: Player Skill is pretty much derived from Overall Team Performance.
Hence i propose ELO by Matchsscore. And since Matchscore is also pretty Basic (AFAIK C-Bill+GXP) there is also a Matchscore adjustment to do. My Proposal:

Win/Loose = 5 Pts / 1 Pts
Survived / Dead = 5 / 1 (Debateble)
Damage done / 50
Assists * 2
Savior Kills * 2
Defensive Kills * 3
Spot Target * 1
ECM/Narc *2
Counter ECM *3
Cap % / 20

This Score would be 10 for utter failure up to70 or more for a good match.
Take (Overall Average MS + (MS last 10 Matches/5)) / 2 for a reflection of your overall skills and your "Momentum" and make 3 or 4 Elo-Brackets based on average ELO.
  • Ready Button
I think the launch module will get rid of it anyway, but in case it doesn't: Get rid of it. Haven't seen 2 matches when everyone was "Ready".

  • Indicate Groups/Clans/Premades
The fog of war is very important to the game, i know. But it would be nice, if i could see beforehand if i am up against one or two (or more) premade groups. Get rid of the Alphabetical order for enemy Group and Show them, how they are really organised. Otherwise ist guesswork (i wonder, 4 Mareks, might they be a Premade?). In the line, why not opt in to show Premade Clan-Names? When i am in a premade, i could call my Group by my Clan-Name, makeing Clans more visible. In that line: Clan Decals etc. would be really nice.

  • Paintjobs / Skins / Chapions
I've seen this proposal and fell imediatly in love with it. Why not give Mechs with Panitjobs a 3% or so Bonus to XP, and Mechs with individual Skins a 3% Bonust C-Bill. This would make them a tiny bit more attractive and would make PGI a bit more Money. Champion Mechs should get a 5% Bonusto C-Bills too, the 5%XP is pretty lame for a MC-only Mech.
  • Change Turret-Color Code
I find it sometimes confusig to see Mechs and turrets at the same time. i would prefer to see friendly turrets colored green and enemy turrets colored Violet in the Map/HUD

Ready button isn't really meant for public queue -- it's meant for 12-mans so they can get organized into lances before the match starts and then press Ready when they are done.

Units (that's what we call "clans" or "guilds" in this game, because Clan actually means something different in this universe) will eventually be identified by a unit prefix. So I might be "[SA] Durant Carlyle" because I'm in the Smoke Adders. The name will not be shown in-match, but we'll probably be able to search for the unit prefix when out of match. Decals will be in the game as well. This is all coming with Community Warfare, which we should get significant portions of sometime this fall.

Champions earn 10% boost to XP, not 5%.

And the REAL boost to C-Bills and XP is Premium Time (50% to each). Invest in that, not patterns/paint, if you want more C-Bills/XP.

i wouldn't mind being able to see who on my team is a pre-made group.
