Left and Right click are the most easily accessible and familiar keys to shoot with. Though we are able to bind keys to more accessible forms (example: binding weapon groups 3-6 to mouse buttons 3-6), I can't help but feel like anything other then left and right click is awkward and cumbersome.

So an idea crossed me. Why can't I use left and right click to fire all my weapon groups? In other games that require multiple actions, I typically bind keys to allow Shift+LMB/RMB, Ctrl+LMB?RMB, ect. to get the most options out of them. While this works in my other games, it wouldn't work here as holding down Shift or Ctrl has some pretty important functions (arm-lock, free look).

So I figure the next best thing would be to allow a key(s) that does weapon group swapping/cycling among keys.

Basically, my original key bind looks like this:
LMB (Left mouse button) : Weapon Group 1
RMB (Right mouse button) : Weapon Group 2
3: Weapon Group 3
4: Weapon Group 4

If we had an option to press a certain key and change key bindings, I could have it switch to this:
LMB (Left mouse button) : Weapon Group 3
RMB (Right mouse button) : Weapon Group 4
3: Weapon Group 1
4: Weapon Group 2

The key could be pressed again to change key bindings back to original. Maybe setting an additional key can be used for Weapon Groups 5 and 6.

This freedom of being able to manage our Weapon Groups to our most easily accessed and familiar keys (LMB/RMB) would do wonders for firing multiple weapon systems with ease and confidence.

Using a razor Naga the only thing difficult is not remembering which button is Open Launch doors and which is flush!

Personally I've never had a problem using a gaming mouse, and don't find it awkward at all. I don't think I've ever wished I could use multiple key strokes instead of a single mouse button.

That sounds too utterly complicated for a game to provide, just get yourself a mouse that can remap its buttons and switch profiles on the fly (Razer, Anker, Logitech, etc.)
