Leaving a match after death before a match ends results in watching the circle go roundy roundy until you alt-f4. Still.

Used to be after changing a loadout in the mech bay and launching into testing grounds, would have a "connecting" overlay, seems to be fixed.
Still get "connecting" lockup sometimes when I logout.

Yes, I experience this endless connecting too and the only thing left is to close the program via task manager. The game is just frozen and won't respond anymore.

The worst thing though is that ever since the last two patches I get this memory allocation error. Now I get it every third game which, in turn, leads to a completly crashed game.

I never had this before the last two patches. In fact, before I hardly ever crashed at all and always wondered why so many ppl disconnected all the time.

It happend mybe 10 times to me in over 1,5 years of playing. This jumping back to the Mechlab I mean. At least you can then simply start a game with another mech.

But now, with this memory allocation business. It is really frustrating. The last couple of days, after it happend 2 - 3 times I just stopped playing. And right now I wanted to play but I know it will just crash after 2 games so I dont want to bother with it.

I reinstalled the game and my gpu, mainboard, soundcard drivers are always the newest available. I have no such problem with any other game so it is definitely not my hardware.

I posted this some weeks ago and thought this will be fixed super fast. But it wasnt.

Kinda frustrating really and Im a little disappointed.

Why is this not being fixed? I dont understand. It makes the game almost unplayable for me.

Same, and with a quirk, sometimes hitting the button "play now" does nothing either.

Played the game after over half to a year break.
At that time, the game works well (except some graphical errors and the annoying game flaws).

Today i have many errors, from the memory Error to the connecting error from the topic.
It is really sad how they killed this good game with so many bugs and errors (and i give them money as founder! ).

Hope they gone fix this connecting error!
Or i leave the game look a half year later.

PS: UI 2.0 is shit. A total chaos on the screen and hard to overlooking. I hope you fired the designer!

Since the weekend I have been getting lots of dc's,during games,in mechlab and in between.
Gameplay can be very laggy too.
Ran the repair tool, updated drivers, flushed dns and uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
My internet has been fine.
I dunno wtf else to do,I'm pretty mad cos I've sunk a few quid into this game and I generally enjoy it,but this issue is spoiling it for me bigtime.
It's just this last week or so this problem has surfaced.

I don't anymore remember when I've exited MWO without crashing it.

Has everyone run the repair tool found here? In the options select to remove shaders and systemoveride.cfg.

Have you checked the power settings for your network adapter? their was a Microsoft update that changed the settings to power saving mode. it did some wonky stuff to my wife's laptop. Go in to Device manager, Right click on your network adapter, select properties, go to power management tab, and turn off "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". also check all of the settings for your other hardware ie graph card. also make sure that you have the latest video drivers installed and that you have installed a full version of dx9 win 7&8 come with the basic version.

Actually, you do need to install Directx 9c. Vista/7/8 comes with DX 10/11 and a base version of dx9. The issue is that MS does not include all the latest modules for dx 9c, nor are the DX10/11 backward compatible. Even a fresh XP install will require DX 9c installation for those updated modules.

DX 10/11 and DX 9c are located in their own subfolders, they do not overwrite each other. Programs and games are set to locate the necessary files from their respective location.

MWO currently utilizes ONLY dx9c files, thus the need to install dx 9c with either the dxsetup.exe (small file that downloads everything from MS) or the redistribution file (large file but useful if installing on several machines or need to reinstall to replace possible corrupted files).

http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=8109

Or

http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=35

You will notice that it supports more than just XP.

Most games that come on a CD/DVD will also have a setup to install the updated modules by using one of the paths. For other games that are download only, they direct you to MS to download (using that site's bandwidth instead of their own) and perform the installation, from a trusted source ( hehe Microsoft..: )

The power settings have fixed a few different problems. good old Microsoft strikes again. :(

I didn't even leave a match, I exited once it was over after reading the scoreboards and the next match took minutes to never find.
