Something fast that can reposition easily, makes a small target and can snipe. I was thinking maybe one of the cicada/raven or maybe even a blackjack.

Any ideas?

Decent speed, jump jets, nice alpha. You can add more ultra ammo in place of the heatsink if you manage your heat well.

You are better going with a Medium over a Light. 14 tons of PPC is roughly 50% of your Mech. You would have to skimp on something and you really on't want to give up speed. So now you are left with Armor or Sinks.

Personally I think 2 PPCs would be better in every way, including dps but I just like the idea of going overboard.

Ran practically exact same build (1ERPPC, 1PPC) just 3 days ago. Too slow for me, buuuuut ... makes a perfect jumpsniper.

Just up the engine with the free weight.
Nevertheless, I won't suggest builds based on weapons with min range without any other weapon and no ability to hide (ECM).

Try this one: it's a 2 PPC 4 small laser BJ-3. It's very fun to play with

I've wanted to use a build with small lasers for the longest time and I think they actually work quite well on this build. Just keep poptarting / jumping away from danger while you wait for your heat to go down after PPC volleys.

Both are fast-ish, both are small and both have ECM. Now I just have to decide which one..

blackjack with its small body and jumpjets would suit ppc's and highmount

however if you want ppc's on a lightmech expect to go below 140 kph

however without ecm and 2 points shaved off the torsos and 4 points off the leg

do 2 ppc 1 medium laser - 138.1 kph - take out the medium lasers for a double heatsink

If you're between raven and cicada, go cicada. The raven does not have the tonnage to run 2 ppcs without making some bad sacrifices.

I've run dual PPC on my Raven but I think that it's a much better loadout for a med. I like the Shad above but don't forget the Griffin and Wolvie (same build for both):
